I have several friends that laugh at me for fishing in the rain. I always tell them the fish are already wet. I see very few people fishing in nasty weather. Its not dedication, its the love of the bite. Great job Cole. God bless you guys
When I was younger we had a private lake on our grandfather's property , he was our neighbor. I would watch the local weather, when u seen the barometer was dropping rain was on the way, I grabbed my stuff ran down to the lake and caught so many memories, that was the early 1970's, I'm a little older now and this brings back memories I always brought fish home to eat.
Size and bag limits are going to get a lot smaller in the future because too many people keep and kill every "good eater" they can catch. It's just a case of too many anglers and not enough fish to sustain the harvest.
Just depends on what the population needs on the body of water. Sometimes throwing them back is nest based on that, or keeping and eating them, is best. Have to know your body of water.
I've never caught a crappie or trout.. but that awsome how simple you explain the setup and technique ..definitely inspired me to fish for these fish..
@@lorent4998just to Many bones for my liking but they sure do taste good. Especially over a camp fire pick the meat off the bone with a fork over some crackers good times
This lake is currently being emptied by the game and fish. But still, there are plenty of fish. That’s what limits are for. Plus, he’s got a family to feed!
Glad to see a nice stumpfield lake I know several in mid Illinois where I'm at from the stumps can produce a huge Bass huge crappie and often a nice muskie
Cy….do you know your dad spent all day out in the cold rain to catch you some dinner, and you don’t like fish?……”Nope”….. lol. That kid is a riot! Loved seeing granny again. She looks great, and first time to see your little sister. She’s adorable……and of course Jay always is!
One of my best fishing trips we were fishing through a storm. We made a little shelter with some tarp and sticks on the shore and we hammered some fish!
First! go catch some Crappie, BTW I love the trout EZ corks for floating a 1/32 oz. jig, I've been using them for about a year now, thanks for the info. The crappie fillets looked delicious. 👍
Your a definite trooper and it shows your dedication to be out in that weather hooking up with those slabs.. Nice stringer you got. You earned it. Lol. Great video Cole

Another successful outing! I enjoy all your videos. I’m an avid multi species fisherman at age 68, and you remind me of myself when I was your age. I loved it when fair weather fisherman stayed home, and had a body of water to myself!! I’ve bought the rods you use and the C&J pack. 22:56 Gunna hit the slabs in Kansas next weekend! Keep it up the good work, Cole!👍
Hit another great video cole. Say hello to Cy,Jay,and Summer we haven't seen her in a while bet she walking and talking. Love the way you'll include family we hope they are all doing good also. We count you'll as our extended family
Where is baby Summer? ❤ I’m so jealous, even though you were freezing your hiney off! Those crappy are so fun to catch! Good to see the family! Lots of prayers for y’all! Love and blessings from this old Bama girl!❤❤❤
Bbrrrrrr! A die-hard fisherman, Cole but it sure paid off! So fun seeing Granny and Jay, and of course Cypress! Sweet Summer was probably napping❤. God bless
It can be hard to get out on those cold rainy days but they always seem to be the ones that pay off the most and become the most memorable! Thanks for watching!
I find that fish especially perch bites better in cloudy and rainy conditions they like low light conditions. The barometric pressure just seems to be just right that makes fish hungry. Awesome video i love perch best freshwater fish
Hey folks..!!!!❤❤❤It’s really good to see y’all having a great meal today!!!..we had one very similar, except we had catfish too….very good!!!keep those videos coming!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

New subscriber. Great show. We have been on ice fishing trips to Iowa to catch yellow bass. They are very good eating. I noticed you were throwing them back. They clean up like crappy and taste great. 11-5-23
If you pierce the bottom lip and run the line through the hole you made it will keep the fish alive 100%. You go through the gills and they die quick. Maybe you don’t care but maybe this helps. Nice fish!!!!
Some nice crappie there, stumpy lake like that rare here. I’m still fishing from shore if the ice isn’t too far out but ice along bank everywhere. Getting my ice fishing gear out tuning it up, respooling etc.

Love going out in the rain because you’re right! The fish are usually biting good and you’ll have it mostly to yourself!
I fish in the rain all the time it’s not much of a difference fish still bite it’s just kinda slow when it’s super cold
You can’t get a lower barometric pressure than when it’s raining
Some of my best days for Snook occur on these rainy blustery days.
Facts 😂
