Mommas Family was an awesome show!! Try a very small swivel and a 10” fluorocarbon leader. It gives it more action on the way down and with subtle twitches.
Me and my son went fishing on a big lake in Pa , Jake caught a nice large mouth about 13” and I lost a real big bass , but we had a fun time on the water in a John boat . Saw a bald eagle and a big bird of prey in a tree. Blue heron ,and turtles on logs. Just a fun day!

Great video on the some big gills. Some of my fondest memories were catching big gills on a fly rod or ultralight rig on Norris. Plenty of action and a hard fight! I know I say it on every video, but keep it up! Consistently putting out great informative and humorous videos.

I fish a very similar setup. Except I fish 3 lb test. - got tired of the occasional good size bass breaking me off. But nice video..love being out on the water at first light.

I hammered some bluegills today. a few of them bigger then your hand. spawning here and you just have to drop the worm right into there bed and they'll take it.

I take kids that never really fish to my favorite pond for dink bass.. only place I can guarantee that them kids catch fish everytime and hopefully get hooked on fishing..
I will always keep green sunfish….hands down best flathead bait here on the Ohio river 👍🏻…..if you can find a beaver dam I guarantee there will be big green sunfish around it and in it 😀

Does your lake have hybrid green sunfish which is a cross between a bluegill and a green sunfish. They have a larger mouth and they are big.

Use the color of the fish to determine the species. More toward the green/yellow is a green sunfish. Redbreast is also a sunfish. The blue/purple is bluegill. The pumpkinseed is a hybrid of sunfish/ bluegill, notably the "ear tag" is larger than normal on them. Another fun trip. Great job big J
