    This is our experience filling form I-751 with USCIS to remove the conditions on Juan Carlos's Permanent Resident Card (Green Card). We are not Attorneys and the information in this video is provided based on our own experience and is not meant to be construed as legal advice. Please consult with your own attorney. We thought it would be helpful to others to see what Supporting Evidence we provided with our filing as a married couple.

    That's crazy the amount of paperwork that you have to send in!

    Good job. Looks like you guys did all you could to get the paper work put together. Getting another 48 months sounds great. Best wishes and good luck......

    Good luck. It took USCIS 44 months to approve wife's I-751. We had no RFEs. They finally approved the I-751 in a combo interview in Dec 2022. There is no reason to send 2 checks.

      Wow, 44 months is a long wait for sure. Do you remember how long it took before she received her 797C Extension Letter? It was only 1 week for us and we think that was pretty fast! The two check confusion came into play because there has been advice that in 2023 you need to separate the payments according to some attorney's. Again, USCIS does not indicate one way or the other on the website. Thanks for watching.

    It's amazing how much bureaucracy one has to go through for this process. When I applied for citizenship recognition through birth right, it was a similar "i's dotting and t's crossing" process, granted I was lucky that they only wanted a handful of documents. I wish you all the best of luck that everything is processed as quickly as possible and yields the desired result. 🙂

      It sure is a detailed process for sure! Thanks for watching and we are confident we submitted enough to get a positive outcome.

    First of all, thank you for sharing it!! I am kept rewatching it so useful :) question, Have you guys shared your I-751 cover letter in the Channel by any chance?

    • @GioandJC
      @GioandJC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We haven't posted it but we do go through it in the video. Each person's cover letter is going to be different based on their own documents being provided,. Thank you for watching and glad you found it helpful.

      thank you for answering it! when you printed all supporting documents, did you guys number support pages and include the total number of pages? I am curious because with bank statements, utilities, photo etc it's already over 60 pages and im wondering if you guys numbers of all pages @@GioandJC

    • @GioandJC
      @GioandJC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kims1008 We did not include the total number of pages. For each section, we created a bullet point list of the documents included in that section as a "cover page." Again, we are not legal experts, we just shared our experience in hopes of helping others. When we shipped out our package it weighed over 5 pounds! Our bank statements for three years were a lot of pages for sure.

    I am surprised that it took Juan Carlos too long to file the removal of conditions. Why didn’t you file the N400 to become a citizen? I believe you can file both. USCIS processing times are long, so you would have saved some time

    • @GioandJC
      @GioandJC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We did not wait to file for removal of conditions. We actually filed within the 90 day window required by USCIS and we cannot file the N400 until 3 years after initial Permanent Residence was issued and that will be April 2024. You can watch our other video when we filed for the Conditional Permanent Resident card (married less than one year).

    • @GioandJC
      @GioandJC  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We are still waiting. Juan Carlos got his receipt with an extension that lasts three years. Apparently it is taking USCIS on average up to 12 months to process I-751's.

      @@GioandJC I'm sure you guys will get good news soon!!! Did you guys added letters from friends "affidavit" to support your application? I'm about to send my I-751 and I'm not sure if I should add letter from close friends

    • @GioandJC

      @@cz4610 Yes, we included more affidavit's from friends and family with our package.

    hi, thanks for your video, I have a question. If Im going to pay with Credit Card, can I make one total for everything (form 751 and Biometrics)?

    • @GioandJC
      @GioandJC  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We appreciate the question but cannot answer that question as we paid with two checks (one for each). They have the information about payments on the USCIS website so check that out.
