- Today we have a brief look on how to operate the core functions on the all new Refreshed 2024 Porsche Cayenne. In this video we are using a lovely Cayenne Turbo GT finished in Arctic Grey.
If you have any questions or suggestions for a video please let me know in the comments!
So happy to have found this guide video,, Now its time to find the video on how to afford one.
I'm in the same boat! lol
Did you find
Great video. Thanks for this informative video. Can you elaborate on the start/stop feature? I do notice my car shuts down several times at red lights.
Yes! Porsche's auto start/stop feature's primary use (besides emission reductions) is to save you on gas, as you are coming to a complete stop the car CAN (not always) shut off to reduce the gas consumption, however, if the cars interior gets to hot, to cold, etc the car will turn back on to ensure the driver is comfortable. This feature doesn't always activate, for instance if the battery is low, it's to hot outside or to cold outside, around 70 different criteria can stop this from working (which are all normal typically). Some people worry that it puts an excess strain on the starter motor, but I've talked to our techs and if there's 1 thing we RARELY ever replace in porsche is the starter. They kinda laughed when they thought about it.
@@theporschepro1065 thank you for explaining. I’m subscribed to your channel and looking forward to more great videos.
Thank you for you detailed video 🙏🏻 question, can we lock the car while we are out of it with the key and the car engine is on?
You can only do this with another key. So 1 key in the car and 1 key being used outside to lock it. there's technically a way, but its tricky and not really intended.
In your trunk, you have 2 buttons that close your trunk, 1 that just closes it, and the other closes and locks it. By pressing the close and lock button, and as the trunk is closing you quickly throw your key into the trunk, it will sometimes allow you to lock the key in the car. lol
My new porsche cayenne 2024 wouldn't let me drive , the message on the screen was
To engage a transmission gear, depress brake pedal and prepare to drive. I was literally doing that but the gear wouldn't work for me, it showed a small engine sign beside this message. This kept happening for roughly 20min. What does this mean
I really didn't like the new gear shift location, it's a hassle to quickly switch back and forth from drive to reverse, on the 2023 the gear shift was an eye sore but I much preferred that whilst driving. Debated switching to the 2024 from my 2022 but ultimately didn't because of that!
Took me about 20 min to get used to it. Shove it all the way up for reverse and all the way down for drive.
@@theporschepro1065 hahaha valid! Might give it a second chance
This is a great salesman!
I'm not in sales lol, I don't like the bad sides that can come along with it. I'm just here to help people at my job!
@@theporschepro1065 well at least you could be a great salesman. A great salesman is someone that genuinely wants to help people instead of thinking about making the most sales and i do respect you not like the bad sides because there are quit a lot in sales.
@@theporschepro1065and you’re doing a great job! I love how efficiently yet clearly you work through everything. I just placed my order today so will revisit your video upon delivery. Thank you!
Are you saying child lock for the doors can be done from the child lock windows? Is this also in addition to being able to do it (the hard way) from the inner back doors with the mechanical key?
ONLY if you have the 4 zone climate control can this be done via the window switch.
@@theporschepro1065 ok interesting, i tested it out. that is super cool to know
interesting how it is hidden but where exactly is the radio antennas located? see no sign of any on the exterior.
Definelty something in the front windshield, tiny little wires along the edge which are not for the defrost. Otherwise I have no clue lol.
the control is not really responsive, especially the voice controll. wonder what chipset they using on such a suv that is clearly not cheap
Can you make video for auto park please
oh that'd be pretty fun!
Nice Video. Can someone in MD order a 2025 Cayenne GTS from you this fall, and you have it delivered and registered in MD for me?
You'd have to call and speak to our sales managers.
the one bad thing in this car that's come without sun roof
I dunno a GIANT carbon fiber roof is AWESOME!
You can get a sunroof. But not in the GT Model
How to adjust the trunk lid opening height to its original height? Just push it open and save with the button?
you got it! Just hold the button that closes it until you hear a funny little beep
How do you put the windshield wipers in service position from the PCM screen?
If I remember to make a video tomorrow I will show the process!
If I turn off the lane keep assist, will it remain off the next time I start the car and drive.
From my experience yes! It seems to remember at least here in the US
Not in EU now but it’s only 1 button press, under the cruise control button 👍
When using drive mode is the individual mode gone because it’s a SUV 🚙?
No, it appears to also be gone on the new Panamera as well.
How do you fold down the second row to increase cargo capibility?
Handle on the bottom of the back seat.
Can you play music from usb drive?
USB is one of the source choices of music, so in theory, yes! The car only has USB-C ports so that will have to be considered. All of my music is still on an old USB.
No E brake? Or did I miss that?
E-brake is now integrated into the Park "P" button itself. As soon as you put it in park, the parking brake is engaged. There's a setting to disable it, haven't played with that setting too much.
@@theporschepro1065 was wondering if that was the case. That’s neat. The new 2024 Panamera is following this interior design. I can not wait to buy that! Thank you.
Edit: it’s best to just not disable it lmao. The extra brake is useful regardless lol.
So if you’re in drive mode and need to apply the emergency brake in an emergency, you should hit P?
@@lanapandolfino3088 most likely yes. But I assume it also has auto sensors that can detect accidents.
Is there an emergency parking brake?
Yes! Its incorporated with the Park button. Pushing and holding it while driving will apply brakes and stop the car. It also unlocks the doors and calls Porsche roadside assistance. Otherwise if you just put it in park when you stop, it will also apply the E brake
Mi PIACE MOLTO GRAZIE MILLE TH-cam POLACCHI CYENNE TURBO DIZEL CULORE GRIGIO 2024 AMEN
Which colour is this ?
Arctic Grey!
Not being able to disable start stop is so dumb. Sounds like it’s new regulations maybe but regardless the reason 🤮
Yup.... Had someone tell me in training, if it sucks and it's in the car, it's probably because of a lawsuit or regulations! always gave me a good laugh!
Can be disabled in Australia..might be a local regulation
Went through things too quickly. Hard to follow.
pause, rewind, replay?
My phone only lets me record for so long lol
Too bad that it doesn’t have a roof that can be opened
On the coupe it'd interfere with the functional rear spoilers! Pretty cool fact.
