Sock consistently delivers some of the best long format analysis videos while maintaining an absurd quality level. Seeing 19 Patrons after this video somewhat feels like a crime, lets get that number up for Sensei!
Man, I’m sure you’ve got this a lot, but I’ll tell you again. Your scripts, editing, voice, just all of it is so great. Keep doing what you’re doing! Much love.
Always feels like im watching the rise of a soon to be household name for anime content creators but we can only hope. Cheers to another flawless video essay bruh, ur my GOAT
These videos you create man are really something else. Great editing and great commentary breaks down these heavily philosophical shows in a way i could never do. Thanks for all the hard work you put into these man.
It's weird that befor like 5 hours i was looking for something on youtube about this anime and i didn't find anything but when i looked again , i find you
"so you guys watched Edgerunners right? And the Thirteenth Floor? Now imagine if the studio that made Lain did that. Yeah, it's like that but in a middle eastern Midgar from ffvii and yeah no, the good guys did not win. And actually, he wasn't even real the whole time, he was just a dream."
I've always seen Texhnolyze as a critique of or response to Nihilism. But I've been surprised all these years by hearing most other fans I meet IRL describe it as nihilistic.
This anime is simply just the Sarkites vs Mekhanites with Daevites in the middle: but seriously, this is a soberly haunting reminder of just the place and status of life on our planet, especially when you take into account the fear of evolution via technology and new thought vs the simplicity and overbearing stability of rules and law. In all essence, evolution of anything whether it be a species, language or environment isn't all bad for it gives new perspectives and ideas on society, life; Existence in general, but it's not all good either if you take it too far and for granted, and truly lose the things that makes you you. Like everything in life, we need stimulation. We need growth as long as you deal with it with caution. You can't rush it. Rules and law are fundamentals of any and all things, be they a early curfew, no drinking when driving, or simply energy can only be changed from one state to another, and cannot be created or destroyed. Without them, there'd be mass anarchy and chaos afoot yet rules and law; just like evolution, are not inherently evil or good, as well. Rules give one structure, a basis of living via a strict set of purposes where in the past, there were none except for the rules of natural selection and instinctual urges, yet rules constrict and shorten open-mindedness as well as outside or individual thoughts. Yet, just like evolution, we need both too. These people in the anime will bear what they've done for presumably, the rest of their lives or until they can no longer process or understand intellectual thoughts. They did what they did for their own beliefs and perspectives, whether right or wrong, and they're paying the piper for it. When it comes to the concepts of life, living, true freedom, rules and regulations, and just overall existence: You can't rush it. And you can't force it, either. Like I've said before on a different post, it takes more than to just simply live, yet you can't forget that primal spark that powers that human moral side of yours.
Texhynolyze is my favorite piece of fiction of all time, I'm halfway through the video and on the edge of my seat like I haven't watched the anime a dozen times. Really awesome re-telling man! 46:08 was my favorite part of the series. The SA refusing to retreat, instead choosing to go out fighting along with their leader. Tragic.
I think I requested this in a poll a while back. (Could be wrong.) Not sure if that’s why you covered it, but thanks for making me feel like a valued member of the community. Cool to see. Thanks for the video too. Appreciate you
I thought this one was better than Lain tbh. Don't get me wrong, Lain was great, but this one really brings in some tough philosophical questions about freedom, duty, and responsibility.
confident i speak for everyone when i say- i'd love to hear your personal critique/opinion on whatever subject after main contents' end. respect your comprehension, analysis, and recapitulation; hearing your maybe less-classifiable thoughts'd just add another layer of understanding for the work plz & tia
Men like Yoshi are more dangerous than a rabid animal on the loose. Theyre smart and calculating able to delude themselves that what theyre doing is for a greater purpose but in reality they just want to see everything burn to the fucking ground
I wonder, this anime appears to have some interesting elements, but I wonder how much depth it has? I would love if it, like few forms of entertainment do with any nuance, tried to commentate on the class nature of society. It seems like its more concerned with something more idealistic
Maybe I’m projecting upon society but my impression is that inherent nihilism and Nietzchean thought as a whole lacks the social cred it did in the golden Rick and Morty age of 2015 but just can’t seem to die. The assumption that there is no inherent meaning is one hell of an assumption anyone who assumes walks right past as if it was as certain as the ground beneath their feet. When the assumption itself is an absurdity, to deny Being itself is nonsensical because you existing as a being are ultimately more than denying your own existence are denying existence itself. For non-Being to be a true principle there would be none of the millions of factors that would necessitate a debate in the first place when because cosmic matter has no Being it can’t Be in the first place. To walk past Being being is an action of either ignorance or convenience, but given Nietzche’s glorification of the sophists who patented that kind of bullshit the continuity is clear. It’s an assumption that ultimately because it can’t coherently account for Truth it needs to hide from it and eat its own tail. It’s a philosophy that hate philosophy because it’s just sophistry. “My life means whatever I decide it means” may not escape any paradigm cosmic symbolism but it feels nice and that is why it endures.

Keep it up 🎉

AYOOO! I thought no one uploaded Texhnolyze content anymore. This makes me so damn happy
This video was greatly needed. I barely see anything on TH-cam about this series
Insane quality senpai. Much appreciated. Tex is the only anime that ever gave me nightmares.
Love your content Sensei. Crazy to me your channel doesn't have a bigger following. But almost 100k!
Closing in on it!

@@MegaRad666 Damm sounds like a stroke
@@dammedpotato Thought about it some more, it's really just MGSV when you break down the story beats.
Actually the main villain seems like just mentall ill,the world not in his own dream
Or rather we just learn from others talking stories about him from various perspectives.
No we only hear about him from heavily biased people talking about unreliable stories about him.
i don’t know how this doesn’t have WAYYY more views. amazing vid
It's Texonalyze its definitely underrated.
This guy needs more viewers bruh
This anime was one of my first anime I remember watching. I haven’t watched it since I was kid, thanks for reminding me this existed!
Enjoy the breakdowns and long format :)
glad to hear

thats because education failed them, technolyze ends with a face of rage and a fist killing the biggest nihilist in the show kano

I'm happy to see more recognition for Texhnolyze, has to be my favourite anime of all time. Depressing yet hopeful.
This manga really has a captivating world and atmosphere to it. Thank you for introducing me to it.
