Make sure you have a pad lock for each eye in the rifle case. US TSA can be a stickler for that one. Don’t expect the airline agent, customs, or TSA to understand that the rifle is unloaded because the bolt is out. Good luck at the match!
Great video Matt. Usually you have to have your ammunition separate from your rifle. Usually I put it in my ammo in my check luggage. It will not be able to check it by it self. Enjoy the shoot, it will be a lot of fun. There will be a lot of vendors and lots of free stuff to take home as well. I’m sure you will have a blast.😊
I have been reading forums and watching TH-cam for the same reason as I am flying down there next week as well. I have been advised to put my shooting bags in my carry-on as they will have to pull them out and check them. I have actually been working on how things will be packed and how to get everything under weight for about a month. I hate to do things last minute.
Quick suggestion … A couple cans of plasti dip spray paint on that foam in a dark color would make that foam look a lot better . If you’re not familiar with it there are how to videos … Good luck …
@@Womfat I just want to figure out which route I should with my 457, it has the “American” 24 inch barrel so I’m assuming whatever I choose will be an upgrade

Will do, thanks!
Thx for the info. Good luck

The weight system at 7:28 is what I'll be doing to balance a CZ 457 in a MDT XRS. I just have to find an ARCA rail long enough.
Nice, it's a great way to do it as the weight will be farther forward and have more affect on the overall balance
Good luck in Texas mate!
What tool pouch is that? I am looking for something I can throw in my pack/admin pouch that isn't my entire wheeler set.
Good luck!!
It's asking a lot but would be cool to vlog style the whole experience. Good luck!
If everything goes smooth, I’ll probably have a video or two covering the match and then a fun behind the scenes video of our trip in general!

Not sure how it works in Canada, but use your own personal locks on the cases, don’t use TSA’s locks.
Goodluck man!
What are the build specs for your ibi barrel on the cz 457 ?
it was a 22”, straight profile, 1:16 twist
@@Womfat What about your most recent IBI barrel ? I believe you said it was a 21" and that Ryan from IBI helped you with it ?
Yeah, that one was a 21” straight taper 1:16 fluted. I lent it to my buddy for thorough testing since I’ve switched to my vudoo.
@@Womfat I see, will you be posting those results eventually ?

Good luck. What backpack are you using? Maxpedition falcon 2 or 3?
It’s the Falcon 2, had it for many years now and it works well!
