    Wonderful demonstration, you are an excellent teacher. I just got an LK150 and I feel confident in trying this out on my machine 😊

    Thank you Diana the technique you demonstrated certainly does give a very neat rib edge.

    Thank you very much for creating and so clearly demonstrating this stitch. It is the nicest elastic ribbing I've seen yet. I wonder if this would be good for a cotton yarn? I'm always thinking about how I can create a stretchy ribbing in a cotton yarn (or other non-resilient yarn.) Would you say that this creates a tunnel at the bottom edge, much like a double bed zig zag stitch? I'm looking for something that I can string an elastic thread through to increase the resilience of the ribbing of a sleeve rib.

      Yes, it is like a tunnel at the bottom. I don't expect it to solve the cotton problem - you probably do need to add elastic. Let me know how it goes!

    I have a Brother KH-260. I followed your videos for quite a while but stopped knitting due to work, moving etc. I now have the time to knit again and find I have for gotten most of what I learned. Do you have a library of videos that will take me from the beginning of learning the machine to as far as I can go. I want to knit socks, hats, cardigans, just about everything that you can knit with a machine. I am almost 80 and don't travel far so I would love videos I can watch from home. I have watched other machine knitting instructors and I think you are the best.

      Hi, Jeannie! Thanks for the kind words. I'd recomment you start with the Beginner Course. It'll be very easy for you, since you knitted before, but it will review you right up to where you need to be. I have it free on TH-cam in old format if budget is an issue, and I also have it on dianaknits.com as a DVD set or a USB stick if you want the high-definition version.

    Is it not easier to unravel till the ravel cord is free and than pick up the first flow? English is not my native language. 😊

    Diana, I have a KX350, and I have no idea how I would set the carriage to do this. Can you please help? I also have a Studio 151 bulky, and I can't figure out how to do this, because I don't think I have part buttons. Can you please help?

      Your KX350 will slip - I don't have one of those right now, but I think it's a lever on the side. You could cast on with waste yarn and just play with buttons. Check your manual As for the Studio bulky, I have never used 151 but I am sure it will slip, or part, or free pass.

    I am lost. So the second row and third row are opposite needles? In other words, different needles are pulled forward each time? Or are the same needles pulled out each row?

    • @dianaknits
      @dianaknits  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are different needles, except that the far left and far right needles have to be pulled out as well.
