She had apparently been taken by one several years before, resulting in the loss of memory, and nausea and headaches when she deals with them, but also a resolve to make sure that people are safe from the threat.

This is by far my favorite song from the franchise, both this and the Platinum/HGSS Frontier Brain tracks are beautiful and not nearly appreciated enough due to how deep into the games they are. Great cover Jonny!

The palace (where Pokémon choose their own actions felt majorly rigged though.
I don’t understand how I beat Lucy for the silver emblem when I was a child. It’s the only Emerald emblem I ever earned
I'm convinced that the main reason the Battle Frontier is so missed is approximately 60% this banger theme, 35% the presentation, and 5% the actual gameplay.
ORAS has a sick remix of these theme given to the Battle Chatelaines tho, so that 60% should still be there

I feel like I've run into more cursed rng across all the Fire Emblem games I've played, but these battle facilities can still take a solid 2nd place for me.
The 4th gen Frontier had much worse RNG potential in my experience, especially the Factory in Platinum/HGSS - but I agree that 3rd gen was also pretty crazy

I still remember managing beating the Battle Pike using a Registeel as a kid. Lucy’s finale Pokémon was Shuckle and my Registeel had no moves left so I won with Struggle! 🤣

So hype! I consider this the birth of the true meta game in Pokemon. It's because of the battle frontier that I learned about breeding, EVs, IVs and how to build a genuinely competitive team.
God I remember my first time facing a Frontier Brain and getting my shit canned in. The idea that there were trainers that ascend the elite four in a tournament setting blew my mind

This theme is anxiety-inducing like few else in this series.
This year I was expecting another Pokemon champion remix, like Lance/Red or Steven/Wallace, but instead comes a full remix of my favorite GBA song of all time!! I already thought you did the song justice back in the GBA medley, but the return of those Hoenn horns really makes me appreciate this song's inclusion in May Madness. Thank you as always for making me relive my childhood days.

I started to play guitar a year ago and piano almost 2 years and since I play music I´ve admired you and I wish I someday play like you, even if my amp sounds shit or I suck at guitar I want to keep playing bc of your covers (ngl sometimes I want the tabs of some of the solos of your covers, they´re sick) I started to watch your covers with the Bowser´s Inside Story final Boss theme cover and my first thought was "damn this dude rocks"
So glad to hear this theme get covered! From all the remixes/remasters I've heard of this song, I feel like there are few that really nail the intense, yet triumphant feeling I get from the original.
Naturally, the one and only Johnny Atma nabs all seven gold medals with this remix.

The Battle Frontier - home to the strongest trainers. One of my favorite Pokemon memories is getting absolutely mopped in the battle tower to this tune. It made me realize Pokemon was more than a game where you just click the strongest move on your starter, and was the first instance of what was possible with time and effort. Thanks for this amazing remix!

It's been so long since I played any of the games with the Battle Frontier, and I really wish they brought it back.
Emerald was technically my first game, though I'd say Pearl was the one that really got me into the series... But ORAS was my favorite Pokémon Game by far, which was really only missing the Battle Frontier!
And hearing this theme in Sun and Moon was really cool as well, I actually weirdly like the plot they did with Anabel, but that might just be because I find the concept of the International Police in Pokémon fascinating. I mean, it's one of those things that shows that, in some ways, the Pokémon World still deals with real Problems, and deals with it in a way the real World would... Just, with Pokémon.
Okay, Pokémon nerding aside, this remix slaps!
Was really hoping for a Professor Layton remix, but this is also neat.

I was already really excited for this one when it was announced last time, and my expectations were pretty high. Needless to say, they were blown out of the water with this cover! The guitar was great as always, and the solo was cool as well, but the main thing was how high energy this cover really felt! This cover really got me pumped up, and I really thought that it helped sell the song super well! Also RIP Revolver, your sacrifice will not be forgotten. Anyways, I see Metal Sonic next, which could mean either Stardust Speedway or What I'm Made Of. Both are hype!
