I've watched tons of van life videos and this is by far the best laid out, best thought out vehicle I have seen. Placing the bed up front is a game changer, as are the water filtration and heating systems. This conversion is nothing short of brilliant.

At 74, I won't be doing this, but WOW I love this van. Out of all the vids I watch, this is the most well thought-out, well arranged, best tech...just beautiful. And the solar/garage is brilliant. A real kitchen, with safe induction. Kudos on every aspect.

Similar to NASA's space station setup to recycle water, but not in that extreme. Very nice setup. This make me thinking of having 4 solars panels, 2 stack up on top of each others and with a little arms or slide and use it as a side cover.
NASA is testing an origami solar panel setup, so when it become commercialize, people can use it on top of theirs van, save so much space and maybe even have a balcony up there and use Origami solar panel as umbrella, LOL.

I agree, one of the best layouts in a Sprinter Van. One upgrade I would do, is spend extra for a quieter ceiling/ exhaust fan. I do wonder how expensive the water filter system was for the shower. Only 2 gallons for an long shower is amazing. One of the main reasons most people do not like Van life , is they have to find a place to shower. A 4WD Sprinter should be able to handle most winter driving. I am curious how their 3rd Van will turn out.

Hi Kendra thank you so much! we love hearing the positive feedback! It depends on how much space you want and budget! We suggest a van obviously because its easy to drive and park as well as has plenty of space. The bus idea is great! schoolies are cheap and have lots and lots of space but don't get that much MPG. Tiny homes are amazing (we want one day) but are a bit pricier, and need a big truck to tow it. They are all great ways to live the minimalist life its just what is more your style? Good luck you can email us if you have any questions! :)

I personally don't like these ELABORATE and labor-intensive conversions.
I just got a Chevy Astro (2003) for $1700, and spent only about $100 making it super-comfy and dazzling (xmas lights; gold sequin curtains; lots of pillows; etc), and EVERYONE goes gaga for it. SOOOOO comfy and fun. (And for some reason, sleeping in it is BETTER than a normal bed and bedroom, cuz it's like a womb made of felt and carpet!)
I don't need any propane, or running water, nor solar, nor fridge, nor toilet!
      KEEP IT SUPER-SIMPLE.
Makes life more fun, the less hassle you have!!
I still have a conventional bedroom room -share, but I wish I could just ditch it and go FULLY adventure nomad, cuz the van is sooooo great!

The reason I want to live while traveling is because I get very bored easily and love to teach dance and perform. I have my 1 child that is being home schooled and it will be terrific so he'll grow up knowing what life offers and not to limit his self. I also want to travel because he has set in his mind at the age of 7 that he wants to be an astronaut and talks about space all the time. I want to find someone that could possibly be in his life to direct him and make sure he lives out his dream. The only thing holding me back is being scared to do this alone and having no clue how much to save and who to trust.
I've been emotionally and mentally damaged and it's really holding me back and also the funds. I hate my dirty apartment and the workers around me that careless. I love God and I'll pray about it.

Recirculating showers have been used for past ten years or more inside Single-Family Homes and in Outdoor Showers as a Hawaiian couple built outside their mountaintop reclaimed wood cabin home when they wanted an outdoor versus indoor shower area. Several single-family homes and even freight-car homes have utilized recirculating showers as a means of going completely off-grid and greatly lowering utility costs if not totally deleting such costs.
Plus, even making a profit off of extra energy produced by their solar panels and sold to utility companies for a very nice kwph profit that truly adds up!

This is absolutely one of my favorite vans. I keep coming back to it. The energy solutions are very cool. I'm fascinated by the solar power (never seen a 500 watt solar panel and with that kind of weight bearing capacity for an upper deck wow), the shower, and the heating. One of my main concerns is how to keep the van warm during winter. Very very cool. Love it.

Well done. Best build overall I've seen on youtube in 2 years. With a class B van you always have to sacrifice something that another B van will have, but the other B will sacrifice somethings that YOU have,, but this so far would be the best design and tech for me. Love the multi step storage in this, the cozy design, with the bed placement in the 'living room' instead of the typical rear bed taking up flow thru walking space and killing off the bathroom. Yours eliminates that common limitation. Plus yours has an eternal shower out of 2 gallons? Whaaa? Love that tech! Awesome to have 1000 watts. Too bad there's no AC to tap that 1000w in hot climates. I'm saving you, I may have to hire you guys to consult before I build mine!

It's been posted a hundred times at this point, but this really is an amazing van conversion. Hey, you don't realize it yet but EVERY single home worldwide needs solar and radiant floor heating. Why? Well, honestly would you rather pay increased utility costs or pay less? Aha! Less, of course. Excellent! Most people would say the same. Yet, they let the installation costs scare them. WHEN SOLAR PANELS CAN BE & ARE NOW 'RENTABLE' in many states. Just starting with one panel and working up to using more panels over time can completely remove your energy costs! And can make you a profit! How is that? Whatever extra energy your system of panels produce can be sold to your ex-utility supplier! And often at a good kwph price that truly adds up! And if you turn on devices, heaters, furnaces, hot water tanks, lights, fans, video gaming accessories etc. then you MOST DEFINITELY have need of solar panels without a shadow of a doubt! Even if you're not responsible for paying the bill....it would sure aide those that are responsible! As for radiant heating systems, it keeps the constantly far cooler air around your feet nice and cozy and also allows you to turn down the thermostat ....thus again saving heating costs.

    • @hungpham
      @hungpham 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Agree with you about the benefit of solar power. I just didn't have a "design" need because I already installed a system on my van - 300W panel with MPPT charger etc. I did inquire about solar panels for my house from a couple solar contractors and they both said it's not worth it since my electrical use is so little.
