What is the going cost for these designed vans, seems they are getting insane with prices there was one on sale in T.O 2014 Sprinter for 159,000 Nuts!! These Vans need a lot of mechanical and rust inside out.
I love that the van automatically starts when the battery goes low. Perfect while u sleeping with the air conditioning so you don’t wake up to a dead battery.
Love that he talked about insulating the water system. So many van builds either don’t talk about or don’t truly insulate the water. Being in the Upper Midwest, and actually prefer winter over summer, needing true insulation is an absolute must.
I've worked with Shane before and on this van as well, and I can say he's such a chill guy. Always friendly and super professional. Look forward to seeing his future builds. And thank Jarrod for the awesome videos as always!
This is probably the most well thought out van build I have ever seen. Beyond clever and the design is just awesome! And the loo/shower is just sophisticated! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
FWIW, Shane has the right strategy for getting the most hot water out of a little tank. But in the plumbing world, folks don't set the hot water tank over 120°F because anything that hot presents a real danger of scalding and burning. There used to be antiscald shower heads to cut that off, but they don't seem to be sold anymore. Incredible job on the van. Style and function.
My water heater is set 180 but has a mixing valve on the outlet of the water heater that only allows 120 degrees so basically we have doubled our hot water storage.
I really appreciate the design to the bathroom, I've always hated the design where the the toilet takes up half the floor space, however I wouldn't skimp out on making sure that hatch properly seals itself from the shower area, that would be an absolute nightmare if anything were to leak
Quite a bit of van builds I see tend to use lighter tones, my problem with those is that a small smudge of dirt shows easy. I quite like the colors of this build and I am taking notes. 😊
That is one badass van build! I really do admire and appreciate the vast amount of time, effort, and knowledge that was invested in the build. If I had the money, I'd buy it if I had the money
The craftsmanship is outstanding and the wood work is beautiful. In 6 years I plan to do a complete tear out of my van and now I know exactly who I’ll work with to do it! I want a zombie apocalypse on a 144 wheelbase. Only one fridge and the bench seat can go. Can’t wait. Ps I’m super serious. 🚐
I like this one too! be nice to have pull out slats on the couch for xtra bedding or lounge with your feet up... but I do like idea with concept of the kitchen counter that gives more opening to the door with that fold up counter...
Perfect. I need a smaller van to drive for my dog and I and any family I visit along the way. I say it’s a dream but I’m talking the kind I will make happen.
Love the huge shower !! another amazing build ❤️ the talent , ingenuity and beautiful thoughts put into each and every van build you show on your channel is mind blowing ❤️🇺🇸
That van is one if the best van on the internet! I want a custom van. That's a dream come true. Im hoping to be able to live that dream by the end of the year. This is the company I'm hiring when that time comes. There's some amazing builders out there too. I want to learn how to do this my self as well. Great build. I would buy that in a heartbeat if I could now.
16:15 Insane current if inverters running full power. 250 Amps. Even my vans starter motor doesn't draw that much current. I'd have thought even those thick cables will get warm after an hour or so. I'm running 5KW inverter in my camper, but at 48 Volts to keep current down. Even so, every 6 months or so i check the volts drop from battery to inverter just incase a connection has gone a bit high resistance.
So many van builds, it’s hard to come up with something better. The wood work in ceiling is beautiful. Couple questions, can MB be idled without problems more than 15 minutes?, adding 6” to bed length be better so you can sleep lengthwise? No fun to climb over partner to go to toilet in middle of night. Overall, killer van
This build looks extremely good for all kinds styles of living. I’v enjoyed this video and learned what type of build would be suitable for me. That’s your build style somewhat to my type of build . It’s beautiful and the electrical and extra fridge stand up shower. Long time since I’ve seen something like this.😮😊 Thankyou for sharing.
great video thanks this may sound nasty but the crystals from your urine can be used to make a black powder so in a long-term grid down the bottle will come in handy
Perhaps put the kitchen cooker section on a short slide so it could move to its left by 300/400mm so that it was able to be open to the air if the cooking required it. Why not! This van is v clever.
Yes and I have! I have a whole playlist of me building a tiny home that is off grid and using bigger power that will probably cost less, only because the cost of van itself is a lot 🤷🏻♂️
Respect looks very nice how you thought about everything shows how much you care. I really like the toilet and the electric setup man it look like a PC this setup i would buy love everything about it.
love the bodywork paint and the teak floor is just lickable! but that under-the-counter fridge needs to be a regular under-the-counterfridge! second time I see the concept of a slide-in toilet in the shower - dunno why this isn't done more often...
Damn near perfect. Only thing i would request for a change, for me at least, would be adding a small slide out section to one side of the van just tall and wide enough to make the bed longer. Maybe add a slide out that's 20" high , 4 wide and pulls out 2 feet. Just some place a tall person can put their feet when sleeping so they aren't cramped. Because at 6' he wasn't able to lie flat.
Wow, that’s a perfect build for any prepare. It’s only missing a gun rack and some butter proof windows or Kevlar in case they end up in Chicago or high crimes area.
Wow, that's really top notch, the attention to detail and showcasing the electrical system. @Jarod, just a suggestion for filming, light source and gimbal would be much appreciated from your followers
Very nice. But that toilet is way too low for seniors. Maybe make it taller and pull it out from the next tile above where it is now. Also, some kind of handle to hang on to along with foldable lightweight steps are needed for seniors to step out of and into the van from the sliding door. Can it be driven into an 8' clearance garage?
Really beautiful van! Love the attention to detail and function! The colour is great and my fave is that stunning shower and bathroom space! Great job!
Love this van even tho I would do a few things differently like a 3 burner, extra storage shelves, a large skylight above the bed with access to the roof, maybe an extra skylight over the dinning area, n I love that u made my idea of the toilet a reality 😃 love all the colors 😍 btw I love blue stain wood

Or is there another "GHOST", I didn't notice any dots between the letters. Just a curiosity. Keep the info coming, I will hopefully be getting a van in the next year.
I can say without a doubt one of the best van builds to date! Would add a few touches here and there but overall amazing! The toilet was the best part by far!
I got the title but speaking a lil bit serious (about zombies lol), in the zombie apocalipse you'll need water and air filters more then anything else. Cause even surviving to the physical contact maybe you won't to the viral attack.

Thanks for the tour Jarrod! Also I want to shout out @clifford.nies for slaying it with the cabinetry, kitchen, and under cabinet appliance wizardry, and Scott Nelson @escootisimo for the his crazy attention to detail on the cieling, paint, and cabinetry.
Not bad at all, just the van itself cost around 7-8000 already and add everything else in to it a little over 200,000 is ok prices, think of it, it’s good for long term living and you don’t worry about paying rent or mortgage and taxes and other bills, remember that when we pay our bills is lot of money as well, and property taxes are most expensive one, I think is ok prices
Love it! Almost my ideal van. I only miss an oven and a height adjustable desk with a monitor for work. Really don’t know how to do that, but it’s absolutely necessary.
