Those of you more learned railfans know that CSX is not known for their use of EMD power. Almost every CSX train you see is exclusively comprised of GEVOs, AC44s, and if you are lucky a Dash 8 or Dash 9. But today, my friends, we have a very nice surprise. Two surprises at that, with wings and a fresh coat as well. And that I almost sold seeing...you'll just have to watch the video to learn and find out. ;)

dont worry, ive lost my keys while railfanning too, and it was even more painful as i actually missed the train i was trying to catch completely, it had a CN & NS engine. oh yeah, this is down south no where near NS nor CN trackage...

I have seen 2 rebuilt MACs, one in Newport News VA, and one in Folkston last month, though the one in Newport News wasn't a flared unit.

These are the coordinates according to Google Maps. I would not recommend parking a car there because CSX technically uses it for PTI vans and crew changes (rarely seen it happen but it does happen).

Inman, you're waiting max 30 minutes for something to come by on the mainline. As for the actual yard activity, there's always something going on somewhere. And even if you're bored, CSX runs right adjacent to the yard and has their own yard within five minutes driving.

@@vuurvrrailfanner4656 Oof? Perhaps I didn't choose my words carefully. There is ALWAYS something running. You very often don't wait 30 minutes. Inman is super active with both mainline and yard activity.😂
@@LocoPro i just found out yesterday (i think) an NS train was doing some switching at inman yard with auto racks and the auto racks derailed 💀
@@vuurvrrailfanner4656 Yeah, it was yesterday. Reportedly the rails slid from under the train, according to some conductors I know.
