One of the most, if not THE most, talented male vocalists in recent years. Eventhough I'm not largely into his style of music, I cannot get enough Chris Stapleton!!
What IS his style of music? The thing is, no one can fit him into one box. Is he country? Rock? Southern rock? Blues? Country blues? I mean, everyone from rappers, hip hoppers, and everyone in between likes him. LOVES him. He can even sing soul. Hell, his voice is the most soulful I've ever heard. And that's high praise considering some greats in the past.
I read in another comment that his wife is the one who pushed him to do a solo career...He used to just write songs for everybody else. If it's true, thank god for her making him realize his full potential. Look what we would have missed. The man is so talented, as a song writer and singer.
I saw him live in September and had goosebumps from beginning to end. Try, "Cold," from the recent CMAs or "I Was Wrong" from Austin City Limits. His live stuff is even better than his studio recordings, with a couple of exceptions ... Death Row has some sound effects in the studio version that get lost in the live versions I've seen and Fire Away needs the official video, which shines a light on mental health and offers resources for those struggling. Oh ... you guys might like his cover of Metallica's, "Nothing Else Matters," that is on The Blacklist. This is one talented guy!
BEAUTIFUL REACTION TO THIS FANTASTIC SONG & PERFORMANCE BY MY FAVORITE SINGER, SONGWRITER & GUITARIST (ALL-IN-ONE) IN MY 65 YEARS ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH!!!!!!!!
Great reaction. This particular live performance from Chris has been on my active playlist for years now. Just a man and his guitar telling a story as only he can. Chris wrote this song but it was originally recorded by a female country artist who had a hit with it. This before Chris broke out to his true place in the music industry. Exceptional artist.
I wouldn't have used those as examples. Midnight Train To Memphis is actually a bluegrass song, he performed it first when he was part of the Steeldrivers. The songs I would have used as exactly would be Hard Livin' and The Devil Always Made Me Think Twice.
The voice is one thing…… it’s generational! The words and experiences are on a whole different level. The wrong people reacting to the wrong song. Felt completely phoned in.
To quote that great American, Ron White...this gives me the "shew-buddies." This is a gut punch for me...can't hardly listen to this. Could be a microcosm of my life.
I'm gonna go out on a limb, this being the one and only video I'll ever watch from this channel, they aren't together anymore.....if they are.... she needs to see a therapist

Dude, you picked the wrong song to smile & cheer for. It's an emotional song, nothing to cheer for.
God was having a good day when He gave Chris Stapleton that voice.
Thank you guys for listening to him! Im glad I told yall about him too!!

She gets it..... he clearly doesn’t 😂
Ikr, it's kinda annoying watching him just grinning throughout this.

Chris Stapleton is a whole talent
His live performance of Whiskey And You on Kix Brooks Radio is freakin amazing too!
At first I thought he was listening to a different song with the head bopping....lol. I'll take an ounce of whatever was in the system.
A phenomenal singer and songwriter.
"Midnight train to Memphis" and "Hillbilly Blood" are 2 of his southern rock style- tunes
I wouldn't have used those as examples. Midnight Train To Memphis is actually a bluegrass song, he performed it first when he was part of the Steeldrivers. The songs I would have used as exactly would be Hard Livin' and The Devil Always Made Me Think Twice.
