    Gui filled in the hustle role that Podz did so well in his rookie season.

      At least for one game...I wanna see more consistency. Helps that he's at least 6'7 so at the bare minimum a big body

    When I saw the trio of Dennis, Curry, Hield in the starting lineup, I thought it was definitely a L for the GSW. But for the most part they played with bigger and balanced lineups. But despite this Kerr tried his best to choke the game by going into clutch with small-ball lineups. Thanks to the players for being able to overcome Kerr's mistakes and barely take the victory against the weak Pistons.

      Thats the thing tho, Buddy Heild needs to throw up a few catch and shoot shots to get heated cause he tends to get hot kinda slow, so when he’s starting you know he’s gonna shoot with efficiency cause he’s getting hot every time he throw up shots.

    • @DeeJay_VII
      @DeeJay_VII 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      We didn’t almost lose due to small lineups Cade just started to heat up at the end & was quite literally being defended by Dennis the whole game so whether Gui played during that stretch or not wouldn’t have effected Cade cooking Dennis

    • @warriorsbreakdown
      @warriorsbreakdown  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      The small lineups have literally one purpose: and it is to overwhelmingly sprint and shoot 3's fast and get a high volume of shots up. If they don't make 3's, they literally can't defend bigger players or guard the paint, so it's a wash. But when they make three's, it all looks great and shit. The problem is the past few weeks, it's happened in maybe like 25% of games max. That is not sustianable (unless Buddy/Lindy keeps shooting 45%+). It's a make or miss league

    Aye Podz was hitting his 3s the last 10 games before he got hurt so we can’t say “with a 3pt shot” anymore

      I'm taking Gui Santos over Podz ngl. At least Santos not dribbling half the shot clock at 6'4

    The reason he won't get a lot more playing time when he rolls into the next bad game: Turnovers. He had a tied team leading 4 TOs last night and it is a big issue with him getting more playing time. The talent is there, but he needs games like this with like 1 TO to really crack the rotation.

    • @warriorsbreakdown
      @warriorsbreakdown  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah I mean I agree the TOs were bad there, but you can't really blame him he was put in a position to get more touches/handle the ball more. With the Warriors regular roster his job would be set screens, knock down catch and shoot opportunities, and hustle. He really wouldn't be having the ball much, but I agree he's gotta reduce the TOs but it was just one game

    • @lucaspiccart3783
      @lucaspiccart3783 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Exactly, unfortunately teams are more aware of his off ball movement just like Steph's so he catches the ball with the defender closing hard on him, we need to do more pick n' rolls with a big or a wing that can drive hard and draw some attention to the paint and leave him open more often

  • @Jolyver117
    @Jolyver117 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

    6"6 - 6"7 forward who can play in both PF or SF position whose 220+ pounds who can shoot the ball and do the hustle plays......and yet Kerr continues to play small with a 3 guard lineup. None of this is rocket science, If Steph had a bunch of 6"6 - 6"9 players around him and he was the smallest player on the team he wouldn't have to work as hard. The formula is to play bigger not smaller, and the fact that people have to get injured for him to actually play players in their ACTUAL POSITION AND HAVE THE SIZE is the most frustrating thing, PLAY BIGGER NOT SMALLER ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
    I don't know what Kerr is thinking, because all of our problems stem from playing these guys out of position.

    Kerr should watch games from a sports analyst's point of view because he's become too narrowly focused on small ball when he can use other players & bring out their strength.

    • @warriorsbreakdown
      @warriorsbreakdown  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are obviously a lot more complex gameplanning/in-game adjustments sports analys'ts cant make. But what we can help is post game analysis and watching film. But yeah I agree with the size thing

    He should have dunked the ball instead of kicking it out and relocating for the three. It wasn't a smart pass at all. He's not shooting at a 50% clip to warrant that decision. I'm sure he'll get more playing time if he plays solid defense and doesn't contribute to the turnover total that this team is known for.

    • @warriorsbreakdown
      @warriorsbreakdown  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      That's exactly what I said. I said he had an open layup but pulled a Ben Simmons. The only reason it wasn't on Shaqtin a fool is because he relocated for a three and thank god made it

  • @alasdairmacdonald9838

    The team is completely cooked and in typical fashion Steve doesn't know what he has until he's given no other option but to plays guys he hasn't even considered.
    Steph is fucking done too at this point. He isn't leading this team anywhere. If the league as a whole had any logic all these old ass stars would have taken pay cuts and bench roles years ago.

    • @warriorsbreakdown
      @warriorsbreakdown  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They'll win 1, then lose 1, this team is mid. They don't fire mid coaches they only fire coaches on losing streaks haha. Kerr's leash is insane, when was the last time they won by more than 10 points confidently??
