Ellis is a great role player for the kings, I think earlier on he made some low quality plays in crunch time that lost us some games but this season he’s clearly smarter, that game against Miami proves he can handle clutch moments
I love Huerter and all, I truly do but he hasn’t shot well from 3 for two seasons now and Keegan went downhill beginning last year too. That said, Ellis being able to hit open 3s is of utmost importance to our team and all summer long I looked forward to the Fox/Keon insane defensive backcourt we saw to end last season and to see Huerter given it (while being out of game shape and not playing ball in MONTHS) was just super disappointing. I get the length, Huerter is 6’7 and is actually an underrated playmaker even but Keon is 6’5 with a 6’9 wingspan and we knew damn well what damage he and Fox combined did together so it was just strange. Now, if Huerter was making shots like season 1 with the Kings I could somewhat understand the decision but yeah… we know how that went. And as beast as Monk had been starting, I am still on the Fox/Keon train. Bench unit needs Monk’s playmaking scoring and pace more. That’s my book on the topic
As a kings fan, Keon not starting at the beginning of the season made sense becuase Huerter is a great shooter... except I guess he isnt anymore and we shouldve started Keon so much sooner.

@@ChillVibes178I agree, but dont forget how critical tone setting and first Q can be. A better start is always prefferable than starting with 10+ points down after Q1.
I've been saying Demar should get benched. Fox, Monk, and Ellis are super fast to pair with Sabonis at point center. Let Demar run the second unit with Carter, Lyles, Len, and Huerter. They all play slower, which is more Demar's play style.

Please may you start doing 2025 draft type of videos please and if you dont its fine bcuz your vids are already awesome
Keon's the Kirkland Signature version of Jrue Holiday. Extremely high quality at a low price and often slept on, but with a feral cult following. His biggest weakness was on display during the Celtics game; he kept getting switched onto Jaylen Brown who could easily muscle past him in the post. Otherwise, to me he's neck and neck with Keegan for best defender and with Malik with highest BBIQ. Would definitely love to see him on an all-defensive team at some point.

Devin Carter might be the odd defender out. McNair should had rid of Heurter, retained wing HB. Murray utilized same as Wigs is Kerr insane
I always wondered why Keon Ellis isn't a starter or why he didn't play more minutes he's such a great player I'd want him on my team in a heart beat
His minutes were cut today with Fox being back. 7-1 since firing Mike Brown.
Ellis is a dawg. Very exciting to see he and Monk ball out.
Kings fan. I never understood why Brown didn't play him more. I think almost every Kings fan felt the same way. The guy posted really good d, always hustling, and is a solid 3 point shooter
I'm sold. How do I invest in Keon Ellis stock?
Now he has Doug Christie coaching him, almost exactly the same player!😮
Not playing Keon enough cost MB his job
This sounds like the Naz Reid/Randle situation
How could you forget the DNP vs Houston on Dec 3? (If a player DNP's, the game doesn't show up in their game log like on ESPN)
Thought the thumbnail was a AI Ja Morant
Showing a Demar in a Bulls jersey was confusing the hell out of me.
Keon Ellis is criminally underrated
2:49 thats a nasty ass shot!
2:57 why is this my first time seeing this wtf
Huerter was trash
keon is a bucket and he has a strap, one of my fav players as he’s on the kings my fav team
Keon is the guy that you hate to play against. There is no let up and he's only getting better
As a kings fan, Keon not starting at the beginning of the season made sense becuase Huerter is a great shooter... except I guess he isnt anymore and we shouldve started Keon so much sooner.
You forgot to mention he is only starting now due to injury.. and who is he going to start for when fox returns? Only option is Monk and I’m not sure that’s going to happen.
A 6th man can have just as big of an impact on the game. This was the case with McHale and Iguodala.
He doesn’t need to start as long as he continues to get 30+ mins a night
@@libertatem1636you’re forgetting Manu.
Mike brown chose an inconsistent Heauter over Elis . Which is the main reason Mike brown was sooooooo bad. Clearly Ellis was way way way better than huerter but Mike brown was blind
He was also playing Colby jones every game for no reason and huerter has like 1 good game for every 5 bad ones
@@reidb6327 while Keon was the playing elite defense and the only Kings player that was hitting his 3s at the time. If Keon would make a simple mistake, he’ll get bench right away while Heurter gets unlimited mistakes
Refusing to even try starting Monk was Mike Browns biggest mistake. The man was stubborn and inflexible. Lacked the vision to make adjustments. (Losing 6x to the same team in one season) He got a pass because he helped end the playoff drought but he blew the series against the warriors.
