Hi, if an emulator is used instead, doesn't that mean the steering wheel will never be locked?🕊
Yes that is correct. The steering wheel will never lock. The alternative is installing another factory ESL. A refurbished ESL with a Chinese manufactured motor will last 1-3 years before it fails again. A new ESL from the dealership will last another 8-12 years. The dealer's cost will be $1500-$2500 depending on where you live. The emulator is much more reliable than the factory ESL. It's 100% electronic, there are no mechanical parts that can fail. I've sold over 400 programmed emulators. I haven't had a single one returned for any reason.

Yes, but I don’t recommend using the factory lock. I recommend using a high quality esl emulator. Don’t use one made in China.
