also her stint in the 2022 ELMS Spa round validated her talent for me. Exiting the pits with Frederik Schandorff directly behind her and then driving away at a consistent rate while setting the fastest GTE lap of the entire race in the process, unreal poise and professionalism behind the wheel
With the right backing, there's no doubt that she could be competitive in single seaters. I suspect the wait to announce her 2024 plans is due to trying to find another single seaters championship to pair with the inevitable F1 Academy season. HOWEVER, if that doesn't happen, her as the designated silver in the Iron Dames Lambo for WEC would be incredible to see given her fantastic pace last year in IMSA. WEC and F1A also have no clashes as far as the races go...
@@benn87correct, and she qualified in the top 10 for all three races. It must been said that Carrie Schreiner (F1 Academy) and Aurelia Nobels (F4) were in the same grid, yet they barely reached P20. Abismal difference.
Dorianne is ridiculously quick! I think she's still only 19? She has a great future ahead of her. I root for her all the time whenever I see her on track! 🙂
Your video was superb😀! I'm French and I discovered and started following Doriane very closely when she started the Trofeo Ferrari championship thanks to her TH-cam channel, I'm a super fan of her, she's my favorite driver in all motor sports , she is incredible 🤩! I think she has the potential to succeed in single-seaters and that she will succeed in performing in F3 but after F2 it will be much more complicated but not impossible, we already had Tatiana Cálderon who did F2 without necessarily performing that means to say that it is possible and I very much hope that she will climb the ladder of single-seater performance and I am very confident after the debut she made in F4 SEA and UAE and in F1 Academy and her incredible victories and poles . And then if she doesn't succeed in F2, she can always come back to WEC and IMSA, it won't be a problem at all, what she did in these championships with the Irons Dames is incredible, she is so talented! But I remain convinced that she will succeed in single-seaters, she has the talent for that. What's a shame is that she didn't have enough funding to participate in F4 France, I'm sure she would have succeeded. This then opened the door to endurance where she was able to accomplish great things. Come on my Doriane Pocket Rocket 🚀🚀🚀🤩🤩🤩!
Doriane's rise over the last couple of years means we can forget about Jamie Chadwick. She can certainly be a strong sportscar driver. Not quite sure what to make of her single seater efforts. It's a big risk if she wants to commit to the single seater ladder, but if the experience makes her a more rounder & faster driver then it will work well for her chances at getting a top sportscar drive.
Agreed on both points. Obviously everyone wants a shot at F1. And given everyone and their mother wants a girl in F1 and her being one of 2 with actual talent(Jamie being the other) She may very well be in hot demand.
I'm a big fan of Doriane and the Iron Dames in general. This is what the encouragement of women in motorsport should look like. As far as her participation in the F1 Academy is concerned, I'm a bit ambivalent. On the one hand, I'm not a big fan of a special series for women if the aim is for women to progress in motorsport anyway. On the other hand, I think the diversity of the different programmes Doriane is doing this year will help her development. If her recent performances in F4 UAE are anything to go by, she will do very well in the F1 Academy.
Fast forward a month. And she has a shot to lap most of the field in a 30 minute race with spec cars. That with only racing the F4 car for 2 wekeends prior. Yeah this girl is in another league compared to her peers. She is in a similar league as her male contemporaries. But she has wasted important years due to lack of funding. Let’s hope her tides are changing.
Out of tye top female sortsxar drivers currently I could see Pin being the first getting a drive in Hypercar. If Lamborghini move to a 2 car WEC operation for next year, I think they could give her a seat depending on how much she improves this year. The only other driver I could see is Lilou Wadoux driving for Ferrari in the future.
Id want to see her in a real team against the boys. If she performs with someone like Prema, ART, or Campos then the hype is real. And i will support wholeheartedly. We really just wont know unless she's in a winning team. Against everyone. It should be noted that women seem to have a better go of it in sportscars over formula. So i am wondering if its just the teams they find themselves on or if maybe theres a little less physical requirement. Idk
Which in my opinion is a shame. I’d prefer te see her in the Ferrari academy. Because of her skills with endurance racing beside Formula cars. And the Ferrari Hypercar project would give her more options. Also her dominating the Ferrari challenge should have warmed up the Italians.
Too early to tell. If she progresses this year she needs to do F3 European championship in 2025 followed by F2 world in 2026 or 2027(maybe she needs 2 years in F3) Then if she can still rise to the top. Yes if not no.
She is way too strong for F1 academy, first round proved that the only way for her to not be on top is having penalty. Doriane VerstapPin. It's frustrating coz i am really curious to see how she would do in a F3.

Biased? Yes. Absolutely correct? Also yes.
I let the inner fanboy out for a day init
At 19 there will be no surprise when she makes F2, and F1 is definitely in her line of sight right now.
Her drive at Petit LeMans was astonishing. She blew away Gold and Platinum drivers, driving away to a 10 second gap.

She announced yesterday that she will racing in 2024 in the Formula 4 UAE Championship with Prema. The first race is apparently this coming weekend.
Hehe, your wish came true and I’m glad it did
@@williamford9564 She did very well on her first race weekend. 2 out of 3 races in the points, if I remember correctly.

She's great, I'd expect Lamborghini to increase the size of their LMDh program in 2025 and for her to be one of the drivers
Im pretty sure they’ve said in interviews they have no plans on expanding their LMDH effort until 2027
@@Skessel48 That's wild for a factory program to only run one car in each series
@@LankyTurtle it feels like a major waste to me, and I’m hoping it’s just another VAG miscommunication.
@Skessel48 They have said it is unlikely they will go to customer cars but having a 2nd car in WEC full time is a possibility for 2025

Another announcement today, January 16th. She has joined this F1 Academy at Mercedes AMG. It appears she is going down the open wheel route.
Why do you think she’ll be backed by Mercedes in F1 Academy?
now it's been confirmed ofc, but it has been known for a few months that she'd be with Mercedes
