Using the palm of your hand as a hammer will damage nerves and cause you quite a bit of grief later in life. I used to do the same thing until instructed not to by my hand surgeon. Excellent work sir,
Beautiful restoration job. That rebar cutter looks much better than before and it works like a charm too. Good to see an old tool restored to working order. Excellent work.
As someone who knows nothing about anything but watches a lot of restoration videos, this one seems pretty good to me. The bearings were all replaced, continuity was checked on the motor, paint and sandblasting was applied to the right places (external surfaces - with maybe a little unnecessary bondo treatment - but that's personal preference), the gears were repacked in grease and the functionality of the restored device was demonstrated to be effective. I guess I don't see a flaw - but I'm probably not the right person to judge. Either way it was a great restoration video to watch and I am qualified to say that much 🤣👍

Another top-notch restoration! You wouldn't want to get your finger stuck in that! Also, as a Brit, I couldn't help but smile when I saw your vice with "Made in England" on it. ☺
I think that several of your electrical lugs inside the switch aren't crimped properly. The wire strippers appear to have missed the metal tabs and just pierced into the plastic beyond them. Ideally you should be using a crimper that has two flatter concave faces to compress the tabs and the wire into a 'solid' block inside the crimp. (Basically any of the cheap ratcheting crimpers with replaceable jaws are better than using wire strippers, nicer ones will also leave an imprint of the gauge in the plastic so you know it's crimped well)
Some feedback to improve the channel for your audience: - lubricate all rusty screws before unscrewing. - don’t hit metal on metal whenever it can be avoided, don’t damage the device. - more lighting. - wash your hands. - catch falling pieces in your hand or on a cloth. - smoother, more peaceful hand movements. Avoid jerking motions. - zoom in more occasionally. - soundproof your workspace better. - lay out and display all the pieces more. - clean you workspace more. Back wall looks dirty.
nice job. just as a guess id say it looks like it was under water for a time. judging from the sheer amount of rust inside it, the pitted steel case and the grease that looks like it had been wet a while.
The three springs seem to be installed upside down in 34:41, they have a round metal part attached to one end that puts pressure on a rotating part inside the machine.
Saludos mi sangre, DLB mamá se ve de lo más bien. Luce fuerte y alerta. Me alegra mucho. Que el Todopoderoso los continúe acompañando y protegiendo. Por eso te había mencionado que me encanta la película Coco. Es una historia hermosa. Bye. 🙏🙌👍🙋👌🤗🇵🇷🇵🇷

There are so many things wrong with this so-called restoration, I don't even know where to start! The only you actually did well, was you got the thing to work, but even then the jaws didn't fully close.
Nice restoration job. Your tools seems a bit outdated and primitive. It is quite obvious that your impact driver doesn't have enough power to remove the rusted bolts. May be it would be a better idea to invest on higher quality power tools.
@@hbrestoration The battery powered impact drivers from Dewalt or Milwaukee are very strong in removing screws and bolts. I recommend to get one those brands that will help you more in your future restoration efforts.
at 29:04 you did not crimp the connector at all. you just crimped the plastic insulation... you need to crimp near the top of the connector. and please for the love of god use and earthed plug. if and when those wired fall out and touch the case it might save you.

Wow, plastic repair. You don't see it much anymore. I appreciate your approach much more than someone who just uses a 3D printer a sponsor sent them.
It is also a simple repair so no 3D printing is necessary.

Placing screws with impact Drill can cause damage to the threads, is better to screw few threads by hand first, then tight them with drill
I can't turn those screws by hand, I tried it first
add superglue to Baking soda and you can grind and drill it when hard
Can you explain more clearly, where do I need to add it
