Man, you made me feel Nostalgic about my beloved Berlin. Lived there 3 years. Started my DJ career there. Cassiopeia, Warschauer, YAAM, Bar 25, Alexander Platz... Cheers
@@Davemech Amazing Time I had there. It was back in 2008. Berlin shaped my Formative Years as DJ: Watergate, Bar25, Berghain, Summer Open Air Parties, YAAM, Club Renata, Weekend Club, Riterbtuzke, Golden Gate, etc etc Aaahhh Berlin..Ich Liebe Dich ;-)
@@djsarumawashi that's really awesome. Really love that city and thought about moving there at one point in time but other (also great) things happened in my life. Sounds like you had an incredible experience there ❤️
@@Davemech Indded it was Amazing. Well glad that for a good reason you could not make it. Since Covid I always spend 5-8 days a year in Berlin to Inspired myself form the great things Berlin offers ;-)
That was fantastic! What a project that would be - to travel to various places, sampling sounds from each, putting together in the digitakt and matching up with short videos. Really cool idea
I know this is an older video Dave hope your having a great 2022! great video keep it up! got my digital and digitise because I loves how you use yours!
Gosh, that´s incredible inspiring and shows two things: your skills are great and the Digitakt is a wonderfull Instrument. I am really glad, that I have one now in my studio...😁👍
Nice Project M. Mech! I really enjoyed seeing all the stages of the process. Very inspiring for those who are in search of ideas, inspiration or challenges. This project wouldn’t have been an entire success if the song was so so but that ain’t the case. I must say that this is infectious music. Bravo.
These «Creative Sampling Sessions» tracks are awesome. I'd love to see a creative session where you sample/use your studio equipments too. By that I mean real patches, not hitting/tapping/scratching the instruments themselves 😄
Haha I was already tapping away so good thing you mentioned that ;) Yeah definitely something I want to do sometime. One thing is for sure that I'm going to create a video course how to build grooves from sound design to arrangement.
Gaaf hoor David, ik zie 'm nu pas, very impressive!!! Nu is eigenlijk de perfecte tijd om in Berlijn sounds op te nemen, hartstikke rustig op straat! ;-)
I really love your video's and enthusiasm such a delight, please keep it up, can you recommend a few good sites to obtain samples please...? Which Keystep (controller) would you use with the DIgitek+tone please...?? Both free or paid, just need quality percussion and unique soundscapes for my Digitek. Keep safe man, Peace..
That's cool. Fit Berlin perfectly. I'm there from time to time and it is really noisy. So your track is perfectly express feeling of this place ;) Cheers Seb
That's awesome to hear thank you. First I created a track with the samples that was a bit more mellow but I didn't think it fit the vibe very well so tried again and then this came out :) Very much in love with Berlin. Hopefully can go again next year
Thanks Miles! Every sound is coming from the sample pack I recorded in Berlin and all from DT. No external sounds or synths at all :) . The only external thing I did was a bit of mastering on the recorded track. Sure thing. Would love to visit there :)
Yet another great video. I believe that people could be interested in seeing the full production process with your comments. Something like from field recording import to mastering. This can be part of a paid content on Patreon. :)
Certainly a great Idea. Ik do have plans Yo creates a pair full course of videos on creating grooves. From sound design to mixing process. But this idea is actually a very good one as well as it is directly linked to these videos. Thanks for your comment :) via my mailing list I will roll out a beta version of the video series for a discounted price when it is finished. FYI ;) you'll also have a chance to directly give feedback on it. First gotta finish the studio though. Few more months to go!

So so good! The elevator bell was a great tone: making it into a chord and derezzing it up was genius. Awesome!
Thanks Isaac! The clangy chord itself just from the down pitched elevator button sound is very useful as well :)
