Love your channel. I’ve had a Digitakt for about 2 weeks now and you’ve really helped me understand how to get the most out of it. You also have a great way of presenting information so keep it up! (Also just a personal preference but the background music was distracting, would have been better with a different track and softer or just no backing track at all)
Every time i think I've improved my comprehension of the Digitakt I come across something like this that reminds me I've only skimmed the surface. Some concepts are still just a little to foreign to me, but i seriously appreciate tbis channel and your approach to this godly instrument
it's a great way to create kits too if you save a few kicks / hats / snares that are all the type of stuff you like. >:) then you can easily scrub through them way faster than huge sample banks!
Nice tutorial! I wish they would add a feature to automatically add the new sample to a track. Then it could be possible to start playing the sample right after it is recorded.
oh my gosh that'd be so dang nice. You can kinda hack it by laying down trigs on a track and selecting "(none)" or 00 on the sample slot, but you'll still have to assign the sample to that track manually. still! kinda cool.
ive only done this once. love my digitakt but this workflow can be such a labor of love (hate) sometimes. too many steps for me, but i respect the hustle. maybe ill do it with some of the sample packs ive come to love soon. i think when i did it i manually chose the sameples in all 16 slots, zzz the resampler is great but it always starts just a tiny hair late because it has to detect the sound. it could be tied to play, thatd be so sick.
So to be clear this helps save sample slots and if you wanted to just choose 1 for the track you would select this sample slot and then reslice in 32 grid and then go through til you found the sample slice you want to use and then sound design from there? And I guess could assign different sample slices per step if needed?
Awesome trick. Do you remove the 32 snares after your done? I did this is Ableton as well. Much faster to load a sampler in Ableton with just one sample with a gaziljon snares!
I figure the slicing and grid options for samples come from a later firmware update for the og Digitakt right? Got mine second hand a couple of years back and didnt recognize them. Is there an easy way to install or update to achieve these functions? Would appreciate any tips or recommendations. 😁 Cool video btw 🙏🏼
Yes I am sorry, I mixed this video badly, I think I mixed it on AirPods like a dweeb But here’s a version with no music : th-cam.com/video/SqYVT0Feun0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=V2HcVJOPh3kFEvdU
I get it. You were so proud of your ironic, "hipster", background music choice, that ditching it later seemed a shame. It wouldn't have been. It's super distracting and makes it difficult for newbs to process what you're saying. Great shame.
Just wanna drop that from years of watching producer-youtube, this is guy has imo the best vibe & intel I've seen! Keep it up !

Thank you so much for this! Your takt trickz are the best 😊
This is awesome!!! Would b amazing to have a samplepack including samples already like this!!!🎉🎉🎉
As usual thank you very much for more taktics! Allowing me to step up my digitakt game and stop looking at new gear!
It's digilektable, digi-with-it, digivine. How do you say, digi love?
Great tips, well explained!
You're the best, man.
aww , you da best 2
I wish he could be my best man... 😢
Cool video. Love learning new digitakt tips.
I didn't read the title. I didn't see the thumbnail. I didn't need to. I knew I'd find gold. Thanks for the tips!
I really hope they bring some of the sample slicing functions to the Rytm
Nice tutorial!

this is genius. just what I needed
Can you remove the music once the tutorial starts at 2:05? It’s a bit loud/distracting

Dude the Thumbnail is hilarious😂
That's a great tip, thanks!

YOU GOT IT :)
it's also just a good practice for resampling, and saving sounds, you could do this with just about anything :)
sweet as!
Here's a version with no music @.@ th-cam.com/video/SqYVT0Feun0/w-d-xo.html
grab you a digitakt : bit.ly/3dDRfeU
King!
We need more videos😂
Thanks!❤
Thanks a lot! Really helpful video! where are the nice snaresamples from?
Vengeance essential clubsounds lol
If you google 90’s sample cds there’s an archive.com torrent of a TON
Excellent. Very clever & clear
I knew it all but I knew nothing. The part where you explain that an lfo of 32 corresponds to 32 steps blew my mind. Was that obvious?.
Great video, but 18 minutes of the Wii music was a bit excessive
th-cam.com/video/SqYVT0Feun0/w-d-xo.html here u go
B for… bitchin' snares 😂
thanks for sharing really usefull

Is there a way to start recording when the sequencer starts to get perfect loops when there is silence at the beginning?
Was really interested in the vid but that background music was too much after the intro
There’s a version with no music in the description
@@soffter thx will check it out. Might I suggest not using that in the future
Dude the background music is not necessary
th-cam.com/video/SqYVT0Feun0/w-d-xo.html
Much obliged!
background music is super distracting. I wish you included some jams or examples of this at play.

Hey Soffter, thanx for the clever tips! ( background music is distracting though 🙁)
