    Another excellent video as always. I probably should look into Drafts. I think I tried it a while back but I don't remember. Currently I am using Apple Reminders to quickly jot down to-do items and ideas, mainly using my Apple Watch. I just say, Hey Siri remind me...and I have found it really is quick and easy, especially when I am driving.

      Drafts has a built in action script for Notion. That might help with collecting.

    Great video - I’ve been using apple reminders for so long now for essentially all of this. Is there benefit to using todoist and Evernote rather than reminders and apple notes?

    • @Carl_Pullein

      If you go into the Drafts actions you will see a "list in Reminders". That's the one you choose for shopping list.

    Hi. I am sooooo frustrated. Web clipper no longer works on Safari or Chrome. It opens a small window for notes only. I tried deleting and reinstalling, watched your vid 5 times. Seems to be an across the board problem. Did they take away its use for free users? I am a writer and NEED this! I am on a mac 10.13.6 High Sierra, MacBook Pro mid 2014 15" retina. This issue occurred a few times; just about when I was going to go pro. PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks

  • @helitae7464
    @helitae7464 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Carl, i’m going to ask a silly question: why do you use drafts for this instead of clicking and open the specific app directly? Are there any advantages besides memorising only one app for the first click ? Sorry, I really didn’t grasp it, I think :)

    • @Carl_Pullein
      @Carl_Pullein  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      The app is right there in the bottom right of my dock, and it's been there for nearly 8 years. Muscle memory makes this very fast. Plus, often times I will begin thinking something is a task and it turns into a note for further development. This way, as I am typing, I can change my mind about where to send something without having to come out of the app and go into another one.

      Individual tasks, no (unless that have to be done at a specific time of day) But I do add blocks of time for specific work such as writing time, recording time and exercise.

    Didn't know Drafts was this powerful and just a "starting place" for text. I'm intrigued. I already use Hazel/automator for a lot of things on my computer. I'm curious Carl, how does the shopping list work? Is it a specific app? A list in Apple Notes or where do you store them? I currently have a #buy list in ToDoist but would love to have a shopping list separated from my To-Do's. Cheers.
