I think Apple Notes is great and now have over 2000 notes. It's simple but powerful. I have supplemented Apple notes with shortcuts. When I say "Hey Siri, remember," a note is created with the current date. Everything I say that day ends up in this note. The next day comes a new version with a current date. So I have a simple journal that I can "process" in the evening. Or in the review it is not important, then I just delete it :-).

Reminders app in iphone now has quite good feature - make a reminder list, change its type to Shopping and it will automatically sort any grocery item into smart categories like produce, oils, bakery etc. Also can be shared, using it with my wife.

Yup, I use both Samsung Galaxy phone & an iPhone 13, Reminder is better than Samsung Note. It’ll intuitively categorize my groceries into useful sub-categories, and it can be location-triggered, like Reminder pops up asking me to buy when I’m leaving gym, as it asked “when” to trigger beforehand. That’s highly convenient!

    1. the simplicity is so refreshing
    2. yet, this setup still feels much more productive than the others you see on YT
    3. given the quantity of tutorials we have already, seeing the way someone uses Notes is more useful right now
    great job :)

Using the core Apple apps has been a game changer for me - I use Mail, Calendar, Notes and Reminders quite extensively for both personal and business stuff. Some of the points you made about notes I already did, although I have not split my to-do into separate days. I might trial this and see how that works.

@@snkrs-wrld123 I don’t think it’s possible. However, you can create a list with all the items unchecked and save it as a template (in the ellipsis menu on the top right corner). Then each time you want to use it, go the main ellipsis menu (not within a specific list), select Templates, press the grocery template and give it a name and it’s ready to use

I use GTD and use folders for now, next, later adding dated tasks when I organise I move to a folder but then this allows a shortcut to run every night that then moves things into the todo folder only when they are required. Unless its a location reminder and they automatically trigger.
