Been using the F7-72LV as a backup rod for tiny Klash for years. IMO the rod handles the TK perfectly, such a good bang for the buck rod (also great for big spinnerbaits etc!)
Loving my F2-64lv for bait finesse fishing. Just today I used it to catch a bunch of smallmouth bass and yellow perch. Caught fish on it during my session using a free rig, hover shot, weightless paddle tail swimbait, jerkbait, and lipless crankbait. It’s a very versatile rod with the nice fast action I love using it for small too waters too. My first Levante and third megabass rod but it won’t be my last
Been throwing the 7-2 f7 for a month or so. Been throwing an Osakana slide and a couple days ago fishing a free rig for some smallies. Handles it so perfect!
Have that one in the shopping cart. I just need to pull the trigger on it already lol. I run the usa jerkbait special and the 1st gen tour versital and they have been great so far.
Super interested in the F1! I live up north where panfish and smaller bass are mainly what I run into. Currently running a Nasci 1000 on a trout series st.croix. Would love to see how the levante compares.
If I didn't already have a couple swimbait rods I'd snag up a Leviathan. The price point for the quality is as good as it gets. Craftsmanship. Picked up a F4.5-70X Levante Flat Side Sp about a year ago. Great rod.
Thank you for this video I've been curious about these since they dropped and wondered what each one would be great for technique wise. I have almost all the US models and they are great.
the US Brailist is just such a great and versatile rod. I love Levante rods. it used to be my favorite rod but now it’s my every day rod. I beat that thing to death and it’s landed me some giants. Megabass makes a great product for $200
Wish I would have saw this 7 days sooner… I thought the leviathan I purchased was a bit fast when it arrived yesterday, and the foam handle you mentioned tipped me off. So I found and bought the USDM version. FML… I swear I need to direct deposit directly to your account.
Thank you guys for this video! Super informative. I'm curious... any reason that you know of that Megabass didn't send over the JDM F5-611 ? Any insight on that particular rod?
I need a rod to pair up with my shimano stratic 5000XG. Which Levantine should I get? Needed for Bonito, albacore, bluefish etc… on the jetty. Please I need your expertise or advise. Thanks
Would the F8 7’10” be comparable to something like a Mk56 in terms of versatility? For example throwing small glides but also able to dabble in larger conventional baits like a 5.6 bullflat or a 7in beaver?
@@thehookuptackle_usa that’s kinda what I thought. I’ve been looking for something that can do a little of both and all I’ve been able to confidently find is the Mk56 but I can’t afford that hefty premium. Might have to give the F8 JDM a shot. Appreciate the info!
Hello fishing friends, I hope you're doing well? I've been following you for a while now.. & maybe you can help me further... I'm looking for a new spinning rod for high cut, illex wobbler ect 5-20wg which rod would you recommend.. for Swiss waters LG Carlitoos & keep it up, you're great
I absolutely could not stand the Levante perfect pitch grip. It felt much smaller than other grips. I tried adding aftermarket Winn grips but I didn’t like the feel.
Purchased a levante jerkbait special 3 months ago to only throw megabass jerkbaits. 6th trip, the tip broke off. Sucks but no big deal had the rod tip fix. The next trip out the rod snap about by the 2nd guide after boat flipping a 2/3 lb striper. Now thats just terrible, no warranty cuz it was bought from japan SOL for me. Bought a rod repair kit from amazon and its holding up after 1 trip.
Can’t wait to try one of these, been wanting to get a Megabass rod for years. Also, I heard that some of the custom OSP colors are on Tackle Warehouse now too, hopefully no funny business happening
how much does this F4-72LV - 7'2 weigh? also would this be good for paddle tail swimbait and other single hook moving baits? i want to get into the megabass rods but i dont know much about it
It was 120 grams on my kitchen scale. It’s an amazing rod for the money. It throws evokes 1.2 - 2.0 incredibly well and keeps them pinned. I would not throw a spinner bait, swim jig or flashy swimmer on it. Too soft. Has good sensitivity for a moving bait rod. You can feel every blade movement with a chatterbait.
Which Levante rod would you recommend for throwing an A-Rig on the Great Lakes for Smallies? I would be using 3.3” and 3.8” baits with 1/8-1/4 oz heads. @thehookuptackle_usa
Thank you for doing this! Much better than DMing a bunch of questions before I pull the trigger! 😊
DMing is fun though 😂
@@thehookuptackle_usalol thank you for answering me. The elaboration on the f8 here sold me 🙇♂️

F8-710LV - 7'10" Ex-Heavy, Fast Taper, 16-30lb, 1/2-4 oz be good for 6" Huds?

Is the F3-611LVS a good strolling rod?
The 6'4" Light & American Leviathan is on my list. My Braillist is a great rod.
@greenpighunter6930 I love my 6’4” light Levante for bait finesse fishing. It’s a sick rod super versatile for small baits and super fun to fish with

Got the F8 7’10 from this line for fishing heavier lures. I am thinking of getting a new reel to go with it. Suggestions?
I’d do a 150-200 size. Curado 200 would be sexy on that rod

Been trying to find some info on the levante f2 64lv 2p for bfs
What’s the warranty on the Levante rods? Thanks for the video.
All Megabass Rods have the same 3 year warranty, as long as they’re purchased new and purchased from an authorized 🇺🇸 dealer.
So for freestyle 6in magdraft you would recommend F7-7’2”?
Yes 👍
What would be the best weightless soft plastic rod in the jdm levante
What plastic? Like a senko? If yes, I’d probably do the F6-70LV
I absolutely could not stand the Levante perfect pitch grip. It felt much smaller than other grips. I tried adding aftermarket Winn grips but I didn’t like the feel.
Ben. What’s the best technique for the extreme mission type f.
It’s designed as a lipless, mid crank rod; also big topwater. But I’ve seen guys throw jigs on it if you use braid. So in all it’s a versatile stick!
Thanks
Would the f3-66LV work for 110jr and smaller jerbaits and 1/4oz topwater baits? Im looking for a possible P5 110 stick cheaper substitute.
Absolutely, but I wouldn’t push the 110 jr size
@@thehookuptackle_usa you mean not to go heavier than the 3/8oz 110jr size correct?
