If it's something mundane like a vitamin deficiency or minor injury, that can be taken care of at home through stuff like regular cleaning/disinfecting and diet change. Other things like bacterial infections require veterinary prescriptions to get better. If you suspect any issues, I would try and research the symptoms of your rabbit first before looking to schedule an appointment. I'd also find vitamin rich foods and perhaps some dietary supplements (there are powder forms that can be sprinkled in their pellets directly) to keep their immune system healthy and prepared for any attack. For future refrence, it would be wise to save a few hundred bucks for any emergency vet visits. I get that sometimes it isn't as simple as "just go to the vet". Especially for any children who are hoping to do so. So I would suggest just doing the next best thing and taking measures to prevent any additional issues.
