bananas haha if she doesn’t like one of her toys I rub a little bit of banana on it and she loves it! That’s a life hack I came up with and it works on any toy for me💗💗
My rabbit Opal had a crazy sweet tooth. Her favorite food was apple - hands down. She would go bonkers for just a little sliver. It was honestly a struggle to get her to eat enough hay - she always wanted goodies. She lived 9 years though. Shout out to Opal, master of sass.

Hello Lennon mama. Many years ago I had a little dwarf bunny boy (along with two other buns). My little dwarfie quit eating and of course I was worried sick - because he weighed a mere 2.5 lbs. So - I'm writing to you to share what I discovered. At one time I was lactose intolerant and learned that black Aussie licorice aids digestion. When my bunny quit eating - I was brainstorming big-time. I thought if licorice works for me - then maybe Anise Herb will work for my bunny if his problem is a gut issue. I went to the nearest grocery produce section and picked out the best Anise bulb. I went home and rinsed and clipped off several of the fern-like stalks and placed them in front of him and YES - he started eating. AND my other two bunnies wanted some. So . . . . if any bunny out there has a tummy issue - take note. Even for integrating into their regular greens - it will be much appreciated by your furry friends. 💝 P.S. Thank you for what you do Loralei.
@@JoJo-vz5uyI'm not understanding... where did she state she fed him garbage food? Yes, definitely call your vet before and get the A-OK but the important factor here is that her buns are healthy now!... and to not be a penis. : ) have a beautiful day.

I love how you say "this should be a no brainer" for the alcohol. In my opinion, same goes for meat, eggs, yogurt, coffee, chocolate, etc... for me it's kinda obvious I don't give those to my bunny xD I didn't know for the icebrrg salad though. So thank you for this very informative video (as always) 👏
This video was a life saver! My mom buys these carrot-flavored yogurt treats labeled as rabbit treats at the store, and my bun loves them but we had no idea he wasn't supposed to be eating them. Thanks to you we will no longer be feeding him these yogurt treats! I will try giving him strawberry or banana instead!
Me: Luna come! My bunny: completely ignores me. Me:brings out a BANANA! My bunny:nose perks up. Me: smiles! My bunny: runs at me like she has never eaten anything in her spoiled life !!! 😂😂🤣❤️❤️❤️
Filbert goes crazy for blueberries and Marshal adores sage. Luckily my friend grows them in her backyard so during the summer months I get to collect, then dry them out for the winter supply.
My baby Max loves banana 🍌, he goes crazy for it, he’s 4 months old a Dutch/dwarf mix. Up until recently he was eating spinach and spring Mix however there was too much calcium in his bowels. So I took him to the vet and they gave me a whole list for him so he doesn’t get bladder sludge, kidney stones and urinary tract infections. So now he’s on a kale, parsley and cilantro diet and he’s been doing so much better!!! My sweet baby boy 🥰.
Please stop giving your bun kale. There is a debate about if it’s good for them. Parsley is also supposed to be in small quantities. My bunnies eat dandelion greens with a couple of sprigs of Italian parsley for breakfast and romaine lettuce (2 leaves each) for dinner. I also only give them organic veggies and fruit. My little one had a seizure from eating conventional celery so I never gave either of them any fresh stuff that’s not organic. My bunnies LOVE organic dehydrated blueberries and bananas. I only give them 2 berries every other day and a small slice of organic banana before their breakfast.
P.s your channel literally improved my bunny’s life tenfold. She had incredible improved in her happiness and health, it was because I watched your vids that showed Up in my recommended. Forever thankful for you guys. 💗
Whew...So glad I clicked on this video. I recently adopted a abandoned, young rabbit. The first night and day in a hotel room I scored a head of lettuce which he/she ate all of. And a small bunch of broccoli. ( The favorite) I cringed when you said iceberg. Well, now I know. No ill effects. I learned a bunch from this video. Thanks.❤
Nice! Mr. Bunny loves grapes, blue berry and dandelion flowers. Make sure weeds the bunny eats are not from gardens that have pesticides, weed killers or strong fertilizers used on them. He also likes rose flowers, but again know the source as many roses are grown with lots of pesticides. I get roses from my neighbor who grows roses organically. Love your TH-cam movies! Thank You!
Our bunny’s favorite treat was Craisins. She’d be standing up and pulling on the bowl before I could set it down. She also loved fresh dandelions (both the leaves and flowers) and fresh clover. Where we live it is easy to find these plants in the summer. I always washed them well to be sure they had no lawn care chemicals on them. She was a Netherland Dwarf and is no longer with us, but she lived 13 years and made only one trip to the vet and that was to be spayed.
Must admit, a couple of years ago at Christmas I'd stepped into the kitchen and returned a brief moment later and... to my amazement, caught one of my youngsters up on the arm of my armchair, with his head stuffed happily into my half full cup of white tea... with brandy ! I did wait a couple of amazed seconds, totally astounded, before apprehending him, just to confirm in my mind that he was actually drinking the stuff, and not just sniffing. But yep, he was hacking into it !! Having hauled him away and down onto the floor, within a very short time the alcohol took effect. He was like one of those little rubber bouncy balls, a total nitrus-oxide powered bunny rabbit, totally out of control, backwards and forwards along the entire length of the room, over and over. The other buns scattered, panicking and in a state of bewilderment as the little guy went completely bonkers. Five minutes later he just stopped, laid down on the spot and fell asleep, and slept, and slept, and slept. Bunnies and brandy are not a good mix.
Some of these items seem obvious. But then again I've seen some bunny owners make questionable choices when it comes to caring for their pets. Especially all over the internet. 🤦🏻♀️ Research is free. Thank you Lorelei for the educational content! Your channel and HowCast were so helpful to me years ago ❤️ my bunnies have been in my life 5 years now
All three of our bunnies have the same favorite food - TREATS!!!! But we do only give them in very limited quantities and take their weight into consideration. Love Lennon, you and your videos!!!!
My rabbit almost went in GI-stasis. Thanks to watching your video's prior and other information I found online he was on the right diet and I comb him often. It still happened...luckily I know my rabbit and I was able to recognize the symptoms. He had an upset tummy for max 4 hours as I was hoping it would pass but it didn't...I then called a vet and she was like it's only an emergency when he doesn't eat for 24 hours. I was like no no no I'm coming in haha. It was after opening hours so I did have to pay more and whatever it was worth not worrying. The vet gave him some shot of medicine and when I got home I had to try to give him some pureed veggies with a syringe. He was a good bun bun and licked the veggies of my vinger so I didn't have to force food on him. All ended well but it was sooooo scary.
Wow, time to get a different vet! If your rabbit hasn't eaten for 24 HOURS then probably at least 6 of those hours are because it's dead... Our girl stopped eating (after her veggies, but she didn't want her pellets) in the evening and we called when she still didn't want her pellets after 2 hours. The emergency vet (not our own) said "yeah if you really want to you can come in but you could also just come by tomorrow if she still doesn't eat in the morning". Uuuhm, no thank you, we are already on our way and she will have a full checkup and meds tonight tyvm.
@@josefigueroa3930 She's fine! She got her medicine and was fighting us over it the next day already (which is a good sign because she won't do anything she doesn't want to do haha). She's almost 2!
Did you hear that people? “A **SMALL SLICE** OF FRUIT”… NOT half a banana, or a whole carrot, or a bowl of berries!!!! WAKE UP, PEOPLE AND STOP KILLING YOUR RABBITS WITH ENORMOUS AMOUNTS OF SUGARED FOODS!! Educate yourselves for goodness sakes!! Thank you, Lennon for an excellent video!
I have two Holland Lops, Louis and Bella. Their favorite is banana of course, but only a couple times a week. They seem to love cilantro, parsley and basil. They also eat arugula and lettuces besides iceberg. Occasionally have given them kale and Bok Choy as well, but they don’t seem to like it much. Certain times of year, I pick all the dandelion leaves from my Dad’s acreage and they like those leaves too. I also use OXO salad spinner to wash everything before I give it to them. It adds hydration and I like to think they like it cool, crisp, wet and clean.
I have two little bunnies! Pennys favorite food is blueberries! And boogie loves his spring mix lettuce! 💕 We love you! Thank you for all that you do! I love to see others advocating for bunnies and their rights! 🌈
Please consider switching to plain romaine lettuce Or butter leaf lettuce. Spring mix is loaded with spinach and kale and both are high in oxalic acid. It’s not good for them
We bought 'Naturals Nibble 'n' Gnaw Stacker for Small Animals 100g' with eggs and peanuts from Pets at Home in the UK who also sell Vitakraft yoghurt drops, I told them eggs are harmful for rabbits and they did not comment except to say the packet says it is for rabbits! I've emailed them about it previously and they have refused to comment! So glad people like you are raising awareness about such things
Thank you for the video!! I love the saying if you question it, don't do it! My bunny loves dried Pineapple and spinach 😋! I've had him for more than a year....and at first it was tricky to get the right amounts of greens, but after testings and trying we finally managed to get his perfect balance! Thank you!
My rabbit goes absolutely insane for tomatoes and cantaloupe when he gets them for treats! But he gets plenty of excitement from fresh hay too which is so nice
Great video. Our ZuZu loves broccoli rabe and strawberries... And bananas. She eats the rabe before and other mixed greens we give her. And she basically inhales those fruits like her life depends on it. 🤣🤣🤣
My Buddy's favorite treat is banana (But just a little bit, and maybe once a month, since I worry about the sugar.) Foodwise, he LOVES herbs! We have a nice little herb garden in our backyard, so we make sure he gets a good variety of greens ♥ I'm curious, tho: Are dried fruits ok? I've seen those in treats at the pet shop, but I'm a bit apprehensive about those until I know it's ok...
My daughter is a big fan. She watches your videos almost every day so when she gets a bunny, she’s prepared she subscribe and likes. she is making a list so she can remember.
I don’t personally have a bun but i go to a farm with buns (dont worry, they are NOT for meat or anything) and their favourite foods that ive tried are banana & dandelion leaves. I have not tried anything else but most of them (there’s almost ten) love these. I might try apple soon.
Thank you so much for this video! I have a rabbit named Oreo he is five years old he the cutest happiest rabbit I’ve ever seen He loves Alfalfa fresh from the field we own! Your video helps me out so much! Thank you!
He loves banana, strawberries and blueberries. He doesn’t like raspberries anymore. Charlie’s vet, the one who sterilized him gave us the lowdown on pet food store yogurt drops and bunny cookies. Absolute Nono. OTOH my little Westie mix Bubbie loves to raid his Oxbow bunny kibbles!
My rabbit's favorite food is brussel sprouts. She adores them and will eat them first whenever I give her them. Though I moderate how much she can have because I know giving them too often can hurt her.
@@chickpeaandsweetpea9064 That's awesome! Just remember to give them in moderation though, seeing as Brussel sprouts can cause issues to your rabbit. While some rabbits can digest brussels sprouts without difficulty, a smaller portion will experience bloating and gas. Because rabbits have difficulty passing gas, these disturbances can lead to harmful or fatal consequences if left unchecked. So unless you're certain that Brussel sprouts don't cause your rabbits any issues, then please only give them sparingly. But you probably already knew that ^_^'
Awesome video Lorelei! I'm enjoying this while I'm on lunch break at work haha. My little guy's favorite food is bananas, he will run around my legs, hop and do binkies when he knows it's snack time ^_^
One sound my rabbit made was buzzing. Literally it sounded like "buzz, buzz, buzz". When doing my ironing, especially shirts - if a sleeve hung down shw would dance about on her hind legs batting at the sleeve with her forepaws and going "Buzz, buzz, buzz". My husband witnessed this too on a number of occasions. Our vet said she was an extremely friendly rabbit. If she met a new person she would immrediately run up to them and lick their fingers. She was generally quite chatty. We all loved her to bits.
Buddy Bunny loves KALE. We add it to a lettuce mix along with radicchio. Sometimes he’ll dig through his salad and surgically eat all of the Kale. And sometimes I’ll just feed him a pile as a treat. He also likes the pellet Rabbit food we get from the pet store where we bought him. He turns his nose up at other pellet foods, though. And he always has fresh hay, of course. Sadly, he shows no interest in bananas. We’ve had him since 12/2019, and this channel helps him live his best Bunny Life.
There a company called Sherwood that makes the BEST pellets! My buns love it! Be careful giving your bun kale. There’s a debate if it’s good for the Also lettuce mix has a lot of spinach and spinach isn’t good for rabbits. It’s high I. Oxalic acid.
I have two bunnies, Butters and Betsy and their favorite food is cilantro, I am now a bunny mom ❤. Butters is a sort of grey-ish with a white stripe from her fore head to the top of her nose, and Betsy is black with her tail, ears, nose and mouth, and paws being the blackest. Right now (Wed Apr 5) Betsy is 1 year old and Butters is 11 months old. Betsy’s birthday is Apr 2 and Butters’s is May 11.❤you have great content keep it up! Butters is having zoomies as I type.😂
I seen a girl on tik tok feed her bunny french fries and when people tried to tell her in a nice respectful way that bunnies cannot eat potatoes and suggesting bunny safe foods she got mad. That irritated me to the core honestly. Some people sadly just don't care how much they're harming their pets.
My bunny’s favorite food is dried banana! Also, I recently bought a growing grass set for our rabbit (it’s specifically intended for bunnies, but so are yogurt drops, so I guess we can’t be sure). I haven’t grown it yet but I was wondering if it qualified as something a rabbit could safely consume, especially considering that they can’t eat houseplants. Thanks for all your videos, keep up the good work! 🐰 ❤️
Burgess Excel Nuggets as his main food (other than timothy hay), Baby Leaf Salad (rocket, spinach, red chard, baby red) with a few raisins in the bowl, he loves those as his treat, tried with strawberries/banana/blueberrys but he had no interest after a sniff lol.
Thank you for another informative video. My bunny Willow loves banana chips from Small Pet Selects. He runs out to the kitchen every morning to get one.
I love watching your videos! As a Mom of Fur-babies anytime I am not 100% sure if they can or cannot have, I quickly do google search to find out the necessary information because I love my Bun Bugzy and my Hammies Yogi and Dan. I want them to have happy healthy lives for as long as possible. Although sometimes I believe my Bun Bugzy gets a tad jealous that Yogi and Dan get to part take in some human food and we are super careful as to what we give them, However BUgzy gets his own special treats that are homemade with a lot of love as well as ingredients Buns can have. Bugzy's fave would have to be Cilantro he gobbles it like spaghetti lol
Here at one view I love your channel so much and my grandpa is giving me an ex pen right now my bunny is in a dog kennel and she free roams for at least 8 hours a day when I got my bunny I got her at orschelens sadly but she was on a wire bottom cage for a few days then I got her a cage and I feel horrible but she’s now in a dog kennel about it get upgraded to an ex pen and she free roams when I’m home and awake 💗 and I sadly used to give my bunny iceberg lettuce but now she gets mainly romaine🐰remember it’s absolutely unacceptable to not give your bunny proper care when you can and know the correct can but don’t. But it is ok to learn form your mistakes and give them the best care you possibly can💕
I'm here in the Philippines and have learned so much about the 2 white bunnies we have. Am curious how much timothy hay 2nd cut should I feed these 2 girls per week?
Also, could you make a vid either about supplements/care for aging bunnies (including foraging mixes maybe) or a vid about how to fulfill a bunny’s life if it is the only bunny in the house(this could include toys to give them, I’ve been wondering about baby toys because my bunny does not take interest in pet store toys)? These would apply to my rabbit.
Another important caution: Spinach and other greens high in oxalates are also dangerous for bunnies except in very small amounts -- I was sure you were going to mention that.
i have 2 bunnies that are being free-roamed called snowball and biscuit and once biscuit came into the kitchen and munched on some onion skin and ran away, he didn't give out any side effects and recently was my bday and I have chocolate flake surrounding my cake and some of it fell down and snowball ate some but he also didn't show any side effects and thank you so much for the free-roaming videos, my parents were saying NO to free-roaming them and your videos changed their minds! can you show videos on bonding 2 male rabbits when they have fought before (3 times) biscuit and snowball fought recently and i desexed them at may 26th and I'm going to start bonding them at june end or july first week. i just need a few tips and tricks for bonding them safely they both are being free roamed in different stories (biscuit in the top and snowball in the bottom) every time we try introduce them, they always fight with each other, and I don't have much experience with bonding bunnies too. again, thanks so much for this information!!
My bunnies favorite food is bananas, she goes crazy whenever she smells them. We usually give them to her after a trip to the vet or the car because she's usually angry after that, but sometimes we will just give it to her as a snack whenever we have them.

Bunnies and brandy are not a good mix.
Brussel sprouts and radishes are my bunnies favorites
Some of these items seem obvious. But then again I've seen some bunny owners make questionable choices when it comes to caring for their pets. Especially all over the internet. 🤦🏻♀️ Research is free. Thank you Lorelei for the educational content! Your channel and HowCast were so helpful to me years ago ❤️ my bunnies have been in my life 5 years now
All three of our bunnies have the same favorite food - TREATS!!!! But we do only give them in very limited quantities and take their weight into consideration. Love Lennon, you and your videos!!!!
Her fav food is definitely apples, she loves them 🍎🐰 thanks for educating people as always 💕
My bunny's favorite food is banana! She also loves kale, cilantro, strawberry, and papaya.
This is so useful because I just got two more bunny
Thanks soooo much for sharing this - it's soooo important!
Hello what made your bunny to go into g i stasis??☹️
@@josefigueroa3930 the vet said that a bunny is a walking digestive system and even the smallest changes in diet can mess up their digestive system
@@anneloeswarmelink16 how old is your rabbit? How is she now?
@@josefigueroa3930 She's fine! She got her medicine and was fighting us over it the next day already (which is a good sign because she won't do anything she doesn't want to do haha). She's almost 2!
Take notes evwryone! When i first got my bunny, I kept a note of edible and dangerous foods to check whenever feeding something new until I memorized
Early!! :) love ur vids
Heyyy
Thanks a million for upload this video
27th!
Wow good info for new bunny lovers. Adopt you're next bun guys!!!!
You should do a what food brands can my bunny eat? That would be a great video! Love ya!
Thank you for the video!! I love the saying if you question it, don't do it!
My bunny loves dried Pineapple and spinach 😋! I've had him for more than a year....and at first it was tricky to get the right amounts of greens, but after testings and trying we finally managed to get his perfect balance!
Thank you!
Thank you for all your knowledge and sharing it with everyone. You have helped me a great deal I look forward to seeing more from you.
Thankyou for your advice! I didn't know about iceberg letuce and about avocado.
By the winter, I often offer my rabbit many kinds of letuces.
My 4 bunnies and an adult Holland lop (5 altogether) love their pellets the most as well as their hay and dry food
My rabbit goes absolutely insane for tomatoes and cantaloupe when he gets them for treats! But he gets plenty of excitement from fresh hay too which is so nice
My bunny's favorite food is dried up fruits! like apples and strawberries!
Great video. Our ZuZu loves broccoli rabe and strawberries... And bananas. She eats the rabe before and other mixed greens we give her. And she basically inhales those fruits like her life depends on it. 🤣🤣🤣
My Buddy's favorite treat is banana (But just a little bit, and maybe once a month, since I worry about the sugar.)
Foodwise, he LOVES herbs! We have a nice little herb garden in our backyard, so we make sure he gets a good variety of greens ♥
I'm curious, tho: Are dried fruits ok? I've seen those in treats at the pet shop, but I'm a bit apprehensive about those until I know it's ok...
My daughter is a big fan. She watches your videos almost every day so when she gets a bunny, she’s prepared she subscribe and likes. she is making a list so she can remember.
good to know! I’m getting my own bunny soon and I’m so excited
Hi, I just want to ask that ,is mint, spinach , coriander are good for rabbits?
My bun loves romaine lettuce! Plus freeze dried mango and blueberries.
Wow amazing video, Lorelei and very informative!
My rabbit's favorite food is brussel sprouts. She adores them and will eat them first whenever I give her them. Though I moderate how much she can have because I know giving them too often can hurt her.
Omg my rabbits go crazy for Brussel sprouts
This video really helped me but I was wondering if you could give me or post a video of what types of lettuce bunny’s can eat
Cilantro is her fave food.
Super informative video! Hard to imagine giving rabbits any of the oddball foods/drinks in here, but clearly someone did :(
I’m 12 and getting my bunny late august. You and sincerely Cinnabon are we’re i get my information your my idol!
Loralie: "If you have to question it, just don't do it"
Me: Cries in anxiety because I look up everything I feed my bun
My 4 bunnies favourite treat is celery! And thanks to you I’ve learned to cut it into little pieces so that they don’t choke on the strings from it!
This is real helpful thanks for the tips! 👍
Grass is good. In the UK the rspca want you to have grass although it's not needed.
Hello 👋🏾 I was wondering if you can make a video about rabbit blindness and hearing to?
favorite everyday food: orange leaves.
favorite treat: locust.
(obviously, I consulted with my local vet if those are healthy for my bunnies)
9:03
Mine Flara loves pressed hoi snacks…. And dry fruits. Take care. Greets from Europe
I love your channel so much
Thankyou for this video Lorelei.:)
My bunnies favorite food is banana 🍌
But it is ok to learn form your mistakes and give them the best care you possibly can💕
Hello! Loved the video I had a question. In a couple weeks I'm adopting an 8 week old bunny. What diet should they have? And what type of hay?
I'm here in the Philippines and have learned so much about the 2 white bunnies we have. Am curious how much timothy hay 2nd cut should I feed these 2 girls per week?
Also, could you make a vid either about supplements/care for aging bunnies (including foraging mixes maybe) or a vid about how to fulfill a bunny’s life if it is the only bunny in the house(this could include toys to give them, I’ve been wondering about baby toys because my bunny does not take interest in pet store toys)? These would apply to my rabbit.
Hiii!
I love to hear my bunny chew when I give him a strawberry. He squeaks and it is so cute and funny.
What about any form of corn? I read somewhere they can't have that either?
Another important caution: Spinach and other greens high in oxalates are also dangerous for bunnies except in very small amounts -- I was sure you were going to mention that.
Do you have any tips on Flemish giants? In my area the rescue only has baby FG and ive prepped my area for rabbits.
i have 2 bunnies that are being free-roamed called snowball and biscuit and once biscuit came into the kitchen and munched on some onion skin and ran away, he didn't give out any side effects and recently was my bday and I have chocolate flake surrounding my cake and some of it fell down and snowball ate some but he also didn't show any side effects
and thank you so much for the free-roaming videos, my parents were saying NO to free-roaming them and your videos changed their minds!
can you show videos on bonding 2 male rabbits when they have fought before (3 times)
biscuit and snowball fought recently and i desexed them at may 26th and I'm going to start bonding them at june end or july first week. i just need a few tips and tricks for bonding them safely
they both are being free roamed in different stories (biscuit in the top and snowball in the bottom)
every time we try introduce them, they always fight with each other, and I don't have much experience with bonding bunnies too.
again, thanks so much for this information!!
My bunnies favorite food is bananas, she goes crazy whenever she smells them. We usually give them to her after a trip to the vet or the car because she's usually angry after that, but sometimes we will just give it to her as a snack whenever we have them.
hi Lorelei I love your videos. I am 9 years old and a girl and I am getting my bunny this Friday.
I already bought a large ex-pen for it,Timmothy hey,Timmothy hey based pellets,a litter box, and chew toys. Also treats.I will feed my bunny unlimited hey, thanks to you I know all this about bunnies. I loved this video, I hope you make another video soon.
5:15 Tell that to the tiktoker aliceandfern! she filmed her rabbit eating a moldy avocado and blames hate comments on the rabbit no longer being present in videos!!!
