The man that taught me said never throw away anything. You save the old shoes to make things. I’ve made a lot of belt buckles, book ends, bridle/hat racks. Even paper weights by tying a horse shoe into a knot. Anything for beer money😂. Those St Croix shoes, are they cold rolled, can you shape them cold or do they need to be heated to shape?
The trip I made to Afghanistan a decade or so ago, was the start of my back problems. Seems the Taliban don't care for a farrier to have a good back. lol -TE

Thanks for the feedback and viewing this channel. Cheers-TE
Nice one, im going to try some angle iron in the middle so it rocks over giving you 2 sizes, one at each end, hopefully. good job, made it look easy.
Thanks you kindly for the feedback and watching my channel. Your idea is a fantastic one. Let me know how it works out for you? Cheers - TE

Looks like a new hat. Is it?
Well what will you think of next. You got a good head on your shoulders
Thank you sir. =TE
I wish there were better camera angles showing how you did the blacksmith part of changing the shape of the shoe to fit the back of a boot
Looks like you got two pins on the side of your angle and you hammered against them
That's a fun project but watching you hit cold steel on turning cams kills me.
You young to have back trouble
