- For my first ArmA 3 video, I decided to stick with what I know. I made a gameplay video of the first mission.
Do you guys want me to a gameplay video of all 4 missions included in the Alpha: Infantry, Scuba, Vehicles, and Helicopters? Or should I get straight to the tutorials?

Q:What are your system specs?
A: i5 Ivy Bridge 3570k; 120 gig SSD; 1tb Standard HD(for recording); 8 gigs ram; nVidia Geforce GTX 770 (I run ArmA anywhere between 20-60 FPS, on med-high settings)
Q: What do you use for recording?
A: Fraps for video and system audio; Audacity for personal audio.
Q: Why don't you play in First Person?
A: I'm a 3rd person gamer. I hate first person. It's unrealistically restricting. Please don't try to "convince" me otherwise as if I am unaware of the gaming style I prefer.
Q: Were you in the Military?
A: US Army 99-06, Radio Operator(25C). Non-Combat Veteran.
Q: Is that AI or real people?
A: If it's Wasteland or DayZ, it's real people. If it's an ArmA Mission it's AI unless I very specifically state otherwise. The 15th doesn't PvP.
Q: What ArmA 3 mods do you use?
A: cTab, Massi's USMC and Weapons, FHQ Accessories, ASDG Joint Rails, AV_ESS, CAF M72, Saul's F-18, MCC Sandbox, Outlaw's Mag Repack, RecoilFix, rev1 flashbangs, Robert Hammer's Pistols, VTS Weapon Resting, TFAR, hafm HMMWVs, inko disposable launchers, slatts m32, av_ess goggles

This is hardest game i ever played . I rate this game above every war games like call of duty, battlefield etc. Every mission i take minimum 5 times try to complete. It's game strategies, maps every single details is like real mission. I love this game . After completion of full game i never tried again because it is the hardest game. Thanks who developed this awesome game
Have you played any game from a company called ' from software' like skyrim or darksouls. Those are hard games

I'll put all 4 missions included with the alpha out today(Infantry, Scuba, Vehicles, and Helos). I just finished the underwater mission. I need to edit it and upload it. Should be up in less than an hour.

Yes I have a LONG list of videos to make over the next couple of weeks.
There is probably as much SP content for ArmA 2 as MP content, and that's a WHOLE LOT of content. So you can do whichever you choose.
HA yes I remember the Arma tutorial, went up thru that valley many times trying to get the hang of this game. If they'd had a single player I'd never stopped playing it. As it was every time I tried to just play single player, I was hunted down and shot in the head. Same thing with PUBG. Bought both for nothing. But got great pleasure in watching my little buddy Drum/jester, Cherry, Valentino, and the rest learning it and making his videos. Valentino joined the real military about that time. You've come along way buddy.

@@rene0115 Try out the eden editor, place down the first unit (which automatically becomes the player) and then place down some enemies, maybe some friends, get some vehicles and screw around with it.

This game looks great, Its slow paced enough to were you don't feel like your in Call of duty and fast paced enough to let you know your in a hostile environment. I like how you shot that enemy form the window, and the other enemies responded fast by opening fire all over the building.

Am I the only one who is extremely glad that they added ragdoll physics to the ai? I mean, its much better than when you shhoot a guy laying down, he stands up and falls over after being shot lol! Great looking game for alpha, definetly considering purchasing it!

Try the OA demo on steam, and next week get an Alpha invite from someone to test it out, then decide.
With all respect, ArmA 3 8 Years later graphics are GREAT
The game has a lot of style and style always ages better than tech. That might sound odd for a game aiming for realism when there are games that are more photorealistic. So what I mean is it's visuals communicate very well what's happening. You got newer games with more realistic textures, but their gameplay isn't as realistic creating a juxtaposition. Here stuff like dust being kicked into the air when you shoot is both part of the games graphics and it's gameplay as it obscures your vision.
It's not just tech done for tech sake, there's a purpose for it all which is inherently pleasing to look at.

both, but some savers disable 3rd person because it allows you to see over walls without actually sticking your head over
ahhhhh i remember when i first got arma 3 iam on this mission till halfway i heard a strange sound on my computer and then it goes boom so i decided to get alienware computer and i got arma 2 and 3 both of them on my computer ahh good times
the graphics are amazing
Just finished Infantry mission. Animations are amazing, i only think that standard walk is glitched or something... Overall a huge improvements from Arma 2.

Yes the recoil on the rifle is ridiculous. I get a 5.56 in the second mission and it's MUCH more manageable.
I use a TrackIR so I can look around. Short of that have you tried using 'Free Look', which you can map to any key, or mouse button, you prefer.
Just a thought .. enjoy the sim!
I don't really pay attention to muzzle flash when I shoot, so I don't know. I never really shoot at night.

@TTROPVNR dont disable anti aliasing. put it at 2x. disable vsync and consider some non important settings at lower settings like post processing

Watching gameplay of this game makes me REALLY want to build a PC
taking out buildings in 3rd person mode.. now that's interesting
Whenever I play this I always take someone else ACOG or any scope cause the enemies are at a distance sometimes I take the LMG or Automatic Rifle from the Auto Rifleman if he is dead

you can run the game smooth, if not that smooth just lower your resolution or disable vsync or disable anti aliasing
Set filters to deathmatch so you can find a simple gamemode to try out. Arma has lot of different custom gamemodes and some can be a bit advanced for newcomers (or even veterans :D )

I didn't realize how hard the missions would be. I thought they'd be easy as any other shooter game when you play them on the easiest difficulty. :P
