I’m a new subscriber you were recommended by Joe Caci who I’ve followed a very long time even during his hard times. It’s great joining up with a new TH-camr from the beginning and watch you grow. A little info on me I’m a retired aircraft mechanic worked on F-14 flight test from its inception and worked on my own vehicles since I was a kid. Followed Joe because todays cars are so different from my Hotrod den days. And just want to continue learning. If I ask to many questions just let me know. I’m a Vietnam veteran so military aircraft is my life but newer vehicles are so different and complex I have taken the path to learn them mainly so I can fix my own plus totally increase my tool inventory. Enjoy learning all the new diagnostic tools. Enough on me now I’ll be following you. Thanks for sharing. 👍Artie
That’s my theory at least. I may try to duplicate it by swapping the old elbow out and re-checking the data. I’ll be repairing that intake manifold this week. So I have a good opportunity to re-verify it. Like I said, that’s my theory, because typically when I see a MAF sensor under reporting like that, it’s either dirty or no good. There is also a possibility, it was an intermittent fault. That chose to fix itself right when I fixed the elbow. So it definitely is an oddball scenario. But I’ll definitely update you. Thanks again for watching Bart It’s much appreciated!
Great job, like the way you approach every car. Thanks
Thanks Jose, I’m glad you like them! And thanks for watching!

Thanks for sharing. I think you’re right that the initial low MAF readings were affected by the low rpm.
