Excellent video, thank you. I would like your opinion on body/arm/etc placement when switching targets. The pro's don't appear to pivot/swing or adjust any body part. For instance say you needed a triple 20 then a double 19 to win. I am not seeing any adjustment. When i first started shooting a might completely adjust my stance or at least pivot my hip a bit. Not thats its gospel but what do you do? or what is your opinion?
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! When it comes to body and arm placement in darts, it can vary based on personal preference and playing style. The professionals often make their movements look seamless due to years of practice and muscle memory. However, individual techniques can differ. Some players prefer a stable and consistent stance, making minimal adjustments when switching targets. They rely more on precise arm movements and hand-eye coordination. Others may incorporate subtle shifts in body weight or posture to align themselves better with the new target. Experimenting with different techniques is perfectly valid. Ultimately, it's about finding what feels most comfortable and effective for you. Consistency in your approach and practice will play a significant role in improving your accuracy, whether you choose to make adjustments or maintain a stable stance. Feel free to try different methods during practice sessions and observe what works best for you. Over time, you'll likely develop your own preferred style that complements your strengths and enhances your overall dart-playing experience. :-)
In my opinion, it's best to always stand and throw the same way. This way, your roll will automatically always be the same, no matter what number. If you change every time, you have to throw differently every time. If you always stand the same, it will eventually become automated and you will get used to it. It is best to always stand the same, always hold the dart the same, always move the arm straight and only adjust it to other numbers by the strength of your throw.
he doesn't use 4 fingers. that promotional video is very misleading and he was only doing it there for the shot. critique and dissect footage of him playing. you'll see it clearly.

Placing your thumb on the balance point of the dart can be a good technique if it helps you achieve better control and consistency. It’s all about finding what works best for you. Here’s a quick look at how this method can be beneficial: Balance and Control: Positioning your thumb at the balance point can help you control the dart’s flight and stability, making it easier to aim and release. Consistency: If it feels comfortable and helps you maintain a consistent grip and release, it can be a good part of your throwing technique. Personal Preference: Ultimately, the best grip and throw technique is the one that feels most natural and effective for you. Experiment with this method and see how it affects your game. If it’s working for you and you’re seeing improvements, then it’s definitely worth continuing! 🎯
If it was possible to throw like MVG u would be MvG that's it u can't copy it it's pure natural talent baring in mind he used to throw much much quicker
It's more about taking a close look at how the top pros throw in order to possibly adopt certain elements for your own throw. It would be absurd to claim that you can throw as well as MVG after watching a video😀
Trying to copy Michael's dart technique is like trying to copy someone's dance moves at a wedding - you might get close, but you'll never have that special 'I'm totally owning this' swagger. Remember, folks, be yourself on the oche - unless your name is Michael, then you're excused for being a dart sorcerer! 😄🎯
@@DartsDecoded my point exactly,. even if we can emulate MVG's throw move by move, the mind that calculate (or the soul that have the feel of) that throw is a different story and only MVG have that.
