mines is 56 then its 75, then 60, back to 56 then 43. So inconsistent its driving me up the wall. Those were the averages I hit last night in an ADC event. Only won 2 games (the 43 and 60) I lost the 75 one.

I think hand-eye coordination-training e.g. practice doubles from different distances, throwing with your left hand etc. are good training methods. Finaly if your hand-eye-coordination is good you will hit your aim from any position and any distance.

The dominant eye is complete and utter bullshit. None of these tests work. Sticking with a stance, throwing style and mentality plays the biggest role. Throwing darts is like shooting a pistol or welding. Control your breathing, keep chill and be confident.

Moving further away is stupid. Throw from the correct distance and train your muscles to throw accordingly. You're practicing something that doesn't happen by moving forwards and back. Stupid.

The second tip is misleading...if you train on the doubles and if you average below 50 you never get a chance to takeout a double so all that time and effort practising your doubles maybe for nothing.

Sounds helpful except for the tip on throwing from various distances. Seems counter-productive to practice release points and arc angles other than what you use at the oche.

That first tip was especially good! I find that I overthink far too much when I play games.

Professionals practice for 4-6 hours a day. And you’re telling people you can improve their average by practicing less? I’ve watched a few of these and what you say only works for very few people. And everything else is just nonsense. Everyone has a different stance, hold, dart, dart setup and routine that will work for them. People, I’ll save you time. Do what ever makes you comfortable and if you really want to improve get some actual lessons. Because with the lessons the coach will assess you and give you something that will work with how you throw. This stuff will make you change everything and make you worse.

My average at start of september was 38-42 now its 50s and thats before this video

So i managed from 40 avg (started Darts in May) to 65-70 right now. By just playing.

1:00 mark.. I've been doing this prior to this video just to get my "feel" and throw warmed up, but i don't look at the board. I'll glance over at the TV, the wall, or away from the board and just focus on following through and how the dart feels leaving my hand. I do this for about 5 minutes or less until my throw feels warmed and primed up and then I'll start practicing or throw a few bs games to "warm up" but I "feel" warmed up per say as far as the muscles in my arm being loose, and the dart releasing perfectly! I recommend this to EVERYONE. It truly has made all the damn difference getting my game going and fast!

It seems that my dominant eye is my right eye but as I am left handed turning my head to use my right eye instead of my left feels weird!

That was eye opening. Always thought my right was dominant being right handed and just naturally leaning towards that side. But after doing the tests it's my left eye😮
