I will give it a try and let you know how it worked. Understandably, you ended losing that game. I think we tend to analyze these gambits on a sort of shallow level, we see that one side is kind of winning against the most played moves in the database, and we see oh that is easily winning and then we get the position in a game, and to our surprise we end up losing it. I think this is mainly because we neglect analyzing the Middlegames arising from these positions, and often we will need to know a certain manœuvre which consolidates our position and secures the win, which we might not find over the board especially in blitz. Thank you for the great content, your channel is one of my favorite!!
I have just watched your video and trapped 2300 opponent in beavers gambit in 1st game played right after that. Now I am kinda thinking to switch my repertoire from morra to alapin. Thanks for the interesting idea!
Omg, I started laughing uncontrollably at "You mess with the Beaver and you get the teeth!!! As they say.." I just couldn't take it. It was just one of the most absurd utterances in the history of the English language, and I love absurdity. Keep up the great work Jonathan Schrantz! You're the man!!!!
g6 was the only move I looked at, but it was only because jonathan first showed the line where black took QxRa1 straight away and g6 seemed like the only way to stop the complications afterwards. I assume that's why everybody in the chat saw it as well.
Thanks i will try this out. I am bored because everyone plays sicilian against me and we always get the same kind of positions. I will try this gambit to make the games more interesting
these gambits that you invent are actually mistakes if the opponent plays perfectly but against humans your gambits are amazing cuz its extremely likely that the opponent will make one mistake and lose the game
@@veni1 Engines still think that taking is the best option and white is an idiot for playing it. "Good" is only for when the gambit is one of the best options, and when the evaluation drops by more than 1 point the engine clearly doesn't think it's "good". All gambits except the ones i named rely on the human opponent's flawed nature
@@veni1 You are comparing two engines, one of which was definitively proven to be stronger. Also, when an engine is only winning or drawing "sometimes" with an opening as WHITE, that's meaningless. That's like saying that the Italian Game is trash because you used it and lost to some dude once
Are you a believer in the Beaver?
if I get good results with it, YES! ;)
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY BEAVER
I beavelieve
I'm believer in vampire chicken 😉

In minute 19:00 he didn't resgin, it said cheat detected :o
yea xD
must have had the position open in a lichess analysis board haha
This gambit is actually surprisingly decent; I believe in the beav
jonathan i swear to god this is the most amazing opening i’ve ever seen you’re making me exponentially more obsessed with chess
anyone notice in that ImprovingEveryday2 game it says “cheat detected - white victorious”? whats that about?
Noticed that too, I hope it isn't because of that game
It means that ImprovingEveryday2 used the lichess engine in that exact same position while playing the game.
Even using the engine against the beaver fails, that's how good it is!
Maybe he was analysing some positions before the game and left the window open? Sounds weird that you challenge a streamer and then you cheat...
Probably not because f6? It looks natural because it defends e5 once the bishop is driven off
Now they can make a Netflix series called the Beaver’s Gambit 🦫
Starring a middle age man who has a deformity causing a beaver like color to his skin
@@ourtube1128 No must actually be a real beaver. Then I would watch it for sure

Ah, because B4 kind of sounds like Beaver

Thx man! Reviving the chess world when everyone is stuck in their ways!!! All by yourself and a computer!
I have never seen this opening! can't wait to try it out in a few blitz games!
Can u do a video on the g3 semi slav for white that would be great thanks
Also qgd exchange variation in which white plays f3 for white
I love these dubious, attacking lines! Really shows the true complexity of the game and how difficult it is.

What an amazing tricky line! This guy is brilliant!
You need a musical intro like Ben Finegold’s chess club has. I think it would be epic.
Hey Jonathan, when the shipper shnapper video?
Can you improve the Colorado Gambit?
I'm a beleaver. Best and funniest chess content so far!
5.11, after white goes pawn to c4, can black sack his N to c3 to get an advantage?
absolutely not
I have an idea for a wing gambit line I can send pgn if interested
Would love the pgn man
@@terranloudenback2102 I used the best responses for black and what I like best for white (white has more options)
Any feedback welcome and questions
Finally learned how to make opening into a pgn

What if it was 4 … Nxb4 instead 4 … cxb4? That is like a free pawn for practically nothing?

this is like the white stafford. have you talked to eric about it?
Yes. The good Lord knows I bloody love me some Beaver! Haha Excited 😬

a gambit with only -0.9 evaluation what is this
can you ever show us sicilian from blacks perspective please, esspeciali allapin variation
I actually saw g6 before you said it with my own brain
The beaver gambit is something i play every other weekend. Heyoooo!!
You should've named this the Schrantz gambit, why not name every new gambit you come up with after yourself
Beavers can be as agressive as your opening just so you know!
Most gambits in chess are named after an animal. I wonder why

This must be why I play the Najdorf 😁

Interesting stuff, even if they play Nc7 its tough, Rg8 was my idea in that line, I guess g6 is even better, lol
I saw g6 almost immediately.
suuuuuuuuuure
I found it quickly as well, probably wouldn’t have found it without the “nobody will find it” comment, the second g6 was pretty obvious though
