Great review and I’m glad to see it used in a travel situation, one thing about the steam deck is just how massive it is, looks so iffy to carry around. Definitely size is a big plus of the Odin lite.
Don't ignore the paddles for FPS games due to Added ability to never take have to take your thumbs off of the thumb sticks for face buttons. I needed the paddles to configure the controls for Other M on the Dolphin emulator. I love the Lite, great video.
Hi, could you please tell what SIM card/ carrier you used in your Odin lite? I live in the uk 🇬🇧 and I can’t get any cellular network to work, it’s says emergency calls only. my Odin lite didn’t come with a imei number which is odd, from what I understand is none of the Odin lites have one, is this that same for you? Could someone help me out, or point me in the right direction?
Thank you for the review. I like taking my switch lite with my and I'm able to pocket it no problem....how's the size of this compared to switch lite? Is it potentially pocketable as well?
You mentioned no HD rumble about 3 times, but what game other than a current gen game would even have HD rumble? A Switch Lite has NO rumble, but it's the same size as the Odin which has the exact rumble feature you'd expect from a PS2, or GameCube; therefore making no HD rumble a moot point. The OG Switch is even less portable than a Steam Deck, but you get HD rumble.
I'd recommend reserving the outdoor shots to segments about outdoor play or portability and do the other informational segments at home similar to how you did the narration. Outdoor shots can make it difficult to communicate lengthy information.
Yeah 100% learned a lot from this shoot. First IRL video on YT. Was largely practice for my Steam Deck review which I took to Japan. Unfortunately my trip got cut from ~3 days to , so all things considered I am fairly happy!
I actually used to regularly ride Amtrak to Boston (~every 6 weeks). I used to take the overnight train though which was a miserable 9 hour slog that got in at 4:30am for cost reasons. Japan was AMAZING - never stepped foot in a car and was riding 5+ train lines a day across huge parts of the country. Higher speeds, nicer cars, always on time - that is the dream.

Thank you for this review! This was very helpful. Looking into buying an Odin lite.

Hoping to do an ROG Ally travel review in the nearish future. Could not get a review sample.

other m plays good on the lite?
@@manuelgarcia739 with a ton of fiddling with the controls.
Thanks for the review. I have the preloved one thanks to your review
when you picked it up at the beginning of the video by gripping them by the screen, i cried ( I love the video tho man great content.)
Lovely review. You seem like a great guy. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
I love this review. Its so relaxing and going places.
Do you have the first or second display version? Apparently the newer display drains the battery more than the first from launch.
Not 100% sure but I think I have the second screen. No real battery complaints though.
i got the lite to throw my spare phoners sim card on for anywhere retro achievment unlocks

It is effectively the same size as a Switch Lite. Slightly thicker with the contours. I use a Switch Lite case for mine.
I know there is no HD rumble but does it have any rumble?
yes
Hey have you tried remote play or the Xbox game pass on it with lte? And does it run smooth
Steam streaming ran fine on wifi but the controller needed significant tweaking.

Loki mini pro or Odin pro???
tbh loki but never personally used either.
hi, I know this video is old but what skin/case did you use for your pixel? and what model is? thank you!
comparing batterylife of playing gc games on odin vs playing aaa games on sd or switch. man the sd can play gc games for 6-7 hours.
True but the Lite is the size of a Switch Lite.
I get 6h and more on my steam deck on lite and emulated games.
Now if only the US had good train connections. You could play all the time, no driving required 😂
