- Installing a bathtub might seem intimidating, but with patience, the right tools, and a little determination, you can do it! In this video, I share my DIY bathtub installation process and the mistakes I made along the way-especially the one with glue on the outside of the PVC pipe! Learn from my experience:
DO NOT remove glue from the outside of PVC pipes
Heat the pipe from the inside of the join to avoid frustrating mistakes
Measure and double-check everything to avoid costly errors
And most importantly, be patient!
Tools used: Screwdriver, drain plug wrench, pliers, channel lock, and 100% silicone.

This guy is out of his element.
But he’s got a nice heat gun 😂
That's what I was going to say !!! He uses that heat gun like if it was a drill😅
It is very nice.
All that just to install the plumbing.. I would've cut behind the drywall where the toilet is a square do all my plumbing connections through the back Plus create access panel from the toilet side just in case for future repairs..😅 and I'm not even a certified butterfly plumber but I do have common sense and I'd like to work smart not get things so complex.😅
Damn he forgot to apply silicone underneath and all around and around the drainage and perhaps a little bit around those red tennis but if anything goes wrong he has that heat gun to remove any silicone material left behind😅
@@frankgonzalez1631 Actually, I did use silicone around both the gasket and the drain plug. I made sure to apply it around the drain to ensure a proper seal. You can see that in the longer video. Thanks for pointing it out, though! FIY, I’m not a plumber either, but remembered that 😁.
1st mistake is doing it yourself. 2 Plumbers don’t use heat guns.
I do hire plumbers and contractors, but I like to learn how things are done myself. Appreciate your comment 😃.
Waste time and cut the pipe
No no no no.. want to see him become a stress ball😅
WTF
