Thank you Ambience Quest, I was very pleased with how it turned out. It was an enjoyable process for me too. I have many old item lined up to restore. I just need to make the time to do them.
Good job there well done. I have the 1920's model 53 and the back jaw was total seized to the rails , i have just after months of soaking in wd40 and pressure from clamps got it apart , so now i hope i can get it looking as good as yours 😊 .
Hi Kelvin, thank you I'm pleased you liked the video, I was very happy with how it turned out. Your vice sounds very interesting being a very early one. Good luck with the restoration, I'm sure it will turn out just as good as mine.

Hi Isaac, yes it is installed. I actually gave it to my son in law last Christmas. He is a cabinet maker and has attached it to a bench in his workshop and using it on a daily basis. So it’s great that it has a renewed life.
Hi Peter, that’s a good question, I think you’re the first to ask. I gave the vice to my son in law who is a cabinet make as a Christmas present. He makes good use out of it. I did want to mount it to my bench but didn’t want to drill unnecessary holes in the bench. Hope you enjoyed the restoration. 👍🙂
@@EverydayWorkshop Well, I just hope he likes his Christmas present ...I have just restored the same model and number here in New Zealand just last week and now attaching it to my woodworkers work bench!
I guess you don’t mean the vice in this video (this one is a No 53 woodworking vice) You are correct though I believe it should be red and I should really have painted it that colour. There wasn’t any paint visible on it before restoration and I decided to use some paint I already had. Hope you have enjoyed watching the videos. 🙂👍
Amazing restoration, beautifully restored. I enjoyed watching the process.

Is that a Record 75 vice you have? If so I've never seen a blue one, they're usually red.
