Yep I agree Beach jaws would be ideal probably way harder and more serviceable than the timber I’ve used, but I had this timber, it’s very nicely seasoned and actually quite hard now. I also like the idea of using something old like the vice. Hopefully for the amount of use it gets they will last a while. Hope you enjoyed the video. 👍😊
@@revivalworkshop Actually the Beech is really soft timber, the idea is it will never damage any work pieces held in the vice. In any case vice jaw liners are always sacrificial. Cheers from sunny Australia!
