    🦖 Just want to say loving the expert mode run throughs you're doing at the end of these videos! Love sizing up potential spend allocation scenarios..... I'm curious about Hyatt but there is something magical about scrolling to the bottom of the Hilton app seeing all of your night certs lol. Awesome content!

      Thanks Andrew :) Also, agreed on the Hilton thing ;) just something about flipping through them vs. just having them all listed out haha

    This card is really for loyalist with a LOT of spend, and in that case any hotel or airline would fit. I still feel that Hyatt missed the mark on this one, beyond the SUB, this card requires too much consideration, personal connection, love etc to keep. I can keep a hotel card in my wall that offers a free night even if I NEVER use it.
    ADD a free night and Explorist status to this card and I will pay a $300 af. I just got the IHG business card, and I am going to rock with that along with my Hilton, and Marriott options.

    • @AskSebbyBusiness
      @AskSebbyBusiness  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yep! I feel like they could have easily added a Category 1-4 night and it would suddenly be a lot more popular for normal people / smaller businesses.
      Or like you mentioned, $295 for Cat 1-4 and better status.
      I feel like they could have done better user research (or asked someone like you or me! lol)

      Maybe if you also start with 30 EQN. The current card gives you Discoverist but you don’t start with 10 EQN, only 5.

    🦖 Man, if they gave this card some higher tier status and gave a free night to help justify the annual fee, it'd be such a popular card. I find myself wishing this card was better for the general credit card user so I could add it to my setup without expecting to cancel it in year 2. This did open my eyes to some more powers of the card, but I think it could use a bit of a buff still. Nice video Sebby!

      I was thinking. In the grand scheme of things if you were a Hyatt loyalist you really could just have the personal and business card for all expenses and rack up a bunch of points and get globalist cause I feel like the points are worth 2cents a point when redeemed for hotel stays. The world of Hyatt card is 2 points for everything else so that's 4cents a dollar in my book. I just wished there were more properties.

    As a business owner, would you hold both the WoH Personal and Business Cards?
    $99 a year for a FNC on the anniversary for the personal card plus 5 tier qualifying nights? And then spend towards statuses on the WoH Business card?
    The Suite Upgrade Awards are under appreciated and very powerful for extended stays.

    • @LK_EBM
      @LK_EBM ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you should get both card. Great points, earning, and easy globalist status

    • @krs1905
      @krs1905 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LK_EBMone of the complaints that people have about the WoH Biz card not giving a free night is solvable with the two card setup. Like Sebby said, “Hyatt is probably the best loyalty program out there” and I’m glad that they don’t make it too easy to cut the line to globalist with an AF.

  • @13duren
    @13duren ปีที่แล้ว +2

    🦖. Hey Sebby, how do you see the recent uptick in globalists from the bilt and founders card hyatt status challenges affecting the value of hyatt status?

  • @WhiteoutSnowy
    @WhiteoutSnowy 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    IMO , what chase should do is raise AF to something like $250 or even 275 then toss in 1 cat 5 free night certificate yearly then you will have the best of 2 worlds personal and business.

    🦖 Had Hyatt globalist for year used to be loyal to spg as the second highest tier after the merger for Marriott I never got upgraded and was a argument about breakfast all the time. As someone who loves this perk wasn't worth the majority of my stays are at Hyatt if I can.

    I think the fact that you can get 60K pts for 5k spend instead of the personal card asking for $15K spend is worth it.

    • @911eVoX
      @911eVoX 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You should get the Ink cards if that was important. 90k for $6k spend. The really only reason for this card is the night credits for $10k in spend. You need to be spending a lot of $$$ on this card.

    *Hyatt really drops the ball when it comes to point redemptions.* At some Category 8 hotels they make the customer pay a nightly rate IN ADDITION to points, when booking their highest tier room, rather than allowing clients to redeem 100% of their points, only.
    Also, they are still the ONLY HOTEL CHAIN that >> does not offer a free night's stay

      @@AskSebbyBusiness I tried booking with Hyatt for labor weekend in Las Vegas prior the MGM change with plenty of time but the only option to book with points and not cash was a Hyatt Place university district. I could book the room with the other hotels that I wanted but had to pay with real money. Never had any issues redeeming Hilton points, if there’s availability I can book with Hilton points.

    • @AskSebbyBusiness
      @AskSebbyBusiness  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Labor Day weekend in Vegas is blocked out. It's one of the most popular weekends, so they have no incentive to offer points availability. Any other weekend would probably have availability.

    I’m really trying to like Hyatt. We were long time Marriott and Hilton loyalists. Trying Hyatt for the first time this year and so far kinda lack luster. Cards could use a tweek or two in my opinion.

    • @AskSebbyBusiness
      @AskSebbyBusiness  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair. Another weakness with Hyatt is their smaller footprint. On the top end, I think Marriott > Hilton > Hyatt as well (StR/Ritz > Conrad/WA > PH)
      Maybe flip Bonvoy/Hilton depending on locations.

    • @jimkwock324
      @jimkwock324 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am a long time Marriott fan. I am currently Titanium Elite and I am a year away from Platinum Elite for life. I am also a Hilton Diamond. It is true that the Hyatt footprint is smaller than Marriott and Hilton, but I can usually find a Hyatt when where I travel whether it be domestic or international. Just being able to travel with no resort fees and free parking on award travel and 4 upgrades at time of booking gives Hyatt the big advantage over Marriott. Marriott tends to have better food, but Hyatt isn't bad. Hilton food is terrible and more often than not I have to pay to upgrade my room in Hilton. I love business travel staying in a 5000 point Hyatt hotel. That is so inexpensive. I am definitely moving mostly over to Hyatt.

      If you were putting that spend on a card, probably the Amex Hilton Business (free night after $15k and it's uncapped). Otherwise, maybe put that spend on a card based off multipliers (i.e., CIP or Amex Business Gold for ads)
