I was diagnosed with PTSD about 7 years ago, then about 3 years ago another Psychologist said no it was CPTSD. All I know was both felt exactly the same to me and it was horrible. I am over the other side of the mountain now and know that I am doing OK. Wishing all fellow sufferers all the best.
Thank you for sharing your journey-it’s so inspiring to hear that you’re on the other side of that mountain now. PTSD and CPTSD can both feel so intense, no matter the label, and your resilience shines through. Wishing you continued peace, and thank you for offering encouragement to others. Your words are a beacon of hope for those still navigating their path. 💛
I like your question about depression, and i have one too: why is therapy so expensive? Mind you, you live in America so you're probably used to high costs for any medical assistance, I'm in Southern Europe, Italy, and we can - still - access cheap health care albeit not the highest standards. But mental health care? It's a luxury! 😢 CPTSD here 😢
Thank you for bringing this up-it’s such an important question, and I hear the frustration in your words. It really is heartbreaking that mental health care remains out of reach for so many people, especially considering how critical it is to our overall well-being. 🌍 The reality is that mental health services are underfunded in many places, even in countries with public healthcare systems. Therapy requires dedicated, trained professionals who deserve fair compensation for their expertise and time, but this often drives the cost up, making it feel like a luxury instead of an essential service. And for those managing complex challenges like CPTSD, ongoing therapy is often needed for lasting support and healing, which only adds to the financial burden. In the meantime, some people find community-based or sliding scale clinics, low-cost therapy options with recent graduates, or online support groups helpful if they’re available in your area. I know it’s not the same as one-on-one professional support, but it can provide some relief. There are also self-guided resources, like trauma-focused workbooks or free online materials, that can be a complement to in-person or online therapy when access is limited. You deserve access to the support and care that you need to heal. Thank you for raising this-it’s a conversation that really needs to be heard worldwide. Sending warmth and strength your way as you navigate this. 💛

Dreams can be powerful reflections of our feelings and fears, especially around something as complex as healing and working with trauma. The image of larger-than-life psychologists might reflect how overwhelming this journey can feel at times. If it’s helpful, try approaching these dreams with curiosity rather than fear-it’s amazing how our minds can communicate with us through symbols. You’re not alone in feeling that so much exists beyond what we can see. Sending calm and comfort your way.
