When you're in Menlo Park, Sultanas is AMAZING. It's Mediterranean, great food, great wine, and the prices are unusually reasonable for the area.

Many of the old style mom and pop coffee shops have disappeared. It's hard to find a good breakfast place anymore in San Mateo.

Although some of the original places like Nini’s are gone, there are still some great places to grab breakfast. The Pantry is one of my go to’s for example.

Tokies Downtown is a great Japanese restaurant & bar! They transplanted from their Foster City location of over 30 years to downtown San Mateo in 2019. 4th & El Camino. Give'um a try! 😋🤙
