Thank you for showing parts of the bay other than Oakland and San Francisco!! San Jose and Cupertino have some of the best food to offer in the bay in my opinion! Great video!!
I was just smiling throughout watching your video. I can just feel your happiness and excitement! My favorite is the part with you and your best friend. Made me tear up but smiling at the same time!
So glad you did this video! I'm from the Bay and have never tried most of these places. I'll have to check them out when I go back to visit soon. There's just something about the food in the Bay that doesn't compare to SoCal or maybe it is just the nostalgia.. there's nothing like a good old swirl from Aqui's for sure . I never knew they did taster flights. I may have to stick to those little ones after having kids 😅
Yessss the swirl flight is such a smart idea haha one small one was enough for me these days. It was so good to go back to the old places and see a lot of them are still the same 🥰😊
I live in this area and you’ve highlighted some favs and some places I have never heard of . YAY! Thank you! I get to explore my local area now. Really enjoyed this
@@honeysuckleplease come visit again and show us those other gems we don’t know about and should visit. Got very excited to see this video. So many places to try and happy that I’ve at least tried a couple you’ve featured. Open to a Bay Area meet up too 😊❤ thanks for all you do 🙏🏾
Omg I need to watch more of your vids. I've been subscribed for a while and never knew you are from here. Thanks for introducing me to new places to discover.
It feels so weird seeing places I pass by daily features in a video! I work by the hospital and I always drive by falafel drive in. I think I wanna get that for lunch one day. Definitely wanna try the other spots, too! Please take us to your favorite pho spots!! And maybe instead of cheap eats, some iconic Bay Area restaurants in or around San Jose and maybe even your favorite spots in SF? Oh and another spiral croissant place is Fancy Flavors, they went viral too but you can only get it Thursday-Sunday starting at 11 am. I have yet to try it out
I am from the Bay Area and appreciate this! However, I wish you recommended some places in the north Bay (Vallejo, Benicia, etc.) because that's where my family lives
This is my first time watching your content! I loved how chill the video was without any distracting music in the background and how genuine you are especially when you said the service wasn’t really friendly. I’m big on having good customer service lol. I love Duc Huang as well for the garlic bread option. Huong Lan is my personal favorite banh mi place right now. Do you like Huong Lan as well? Subscribed! 🙂
This food tour video was so fun to watch! The food looks amazing! It was so sweet to see your mom ( she looks so sweet!! ) and your adorable kids! Thank you for sharing this!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Great segment, and thank you so much for sharing, we will be certain to visit all those places you showed. You have a great taste in all your restaurant features It would be greatly appreciated, next time you come to the bay area, you showcase some of the good restaurants in the East Bay/San Francisco area. Thank you Dzong ❤
Thank you!! Def wish I had more time to explore the entire Bay! My old favorite restaurant moved to Fremont I think… and SF - could spend a week just eating there! Will be back soon 😊😊
It was so fun to recognize the areas you were in! I’ve been to that vietnamese area, and now I need to go back and try your reccs too! And all the others I’ve not been to 😂 lucky me I work in San Jose 💕
Hi, Thank you for showing us your top Bay Area foods, I live in the Bay Area my entire life, and I know most of these restaurants and cafes that you’ve mentioned are really good as well. I am also Vietnamese so those Vietnamese restaurants and cafes are one of my favorites
welcome home, and you are right - Duc Huong is the best in CA! Hope you get to come further up 280 for more great finds. BTW, we've got a mutual friend from the Bay - Anne Marie P. (we grew up together :) ... love seeing both your foodie adventures!
Omg we are in the north bay and love this video. Idea for hubby and I to go on our little one night getaway. Next bay area trip for your family come to the north bay area and try banh mi bale for their banh mi.
honeysuckle, why not Lee's Sandwiches? That one is the classic vietnamese sandwich in San Jose 🙂 They are also where the "Vietnamese bus" picks you up (it goes from San Jose to Los Angeles, no stops in between, takes about five hours 🙂 Normally I would just hop on Southwest, but if for some reason I can tolerate it taking a lot longer, Vietnamese Bus is better than Greyhound. 🙂
💕Love this!! Please more videos like this🙏 My husband and I want to travel around California and West Coast. Only been to LA so far. So fun seeing you with your family/friends enjoying the city. Your kiddos are soooo cute 🫶Take care.
You’re in my hometown! I live in the South Bay and I’m so happy you represented some great eats from our hood! And I eat the Drive-in falafels at least twice a month, it’s so delicious.
The owners of Tân định also own that bomb bun rieu place in the same plaza & the nuoc Mia place too! They make the best pandan waffle. Apparently they have part ownership of straits in Santana row & Hawaii too.
What?!! No way!! That is amazing cause Straits used to be so good! I haven’t been in yearssssss… wish I had more time to try all these places!!! Next time 😊😊
Are Banh mis ever served hot? I feel like that cold cut combo you got would really taste good on lightly toasted bread and just sizzled-on-a-rush cold cuts, to bring out the flavors. Either way I'm going there next time in San Jose
Would’ve been cool if you did different places in the bay, not just the South Bay. Like pick a place in North bay Vallejo maybe? Then East bay, Emeryville, Richmond, Berkeley etc, then a South Bay (you did those). then a west bay, Marin, SF, Sausalito.
Duc Huong totally ruined all other banh mi places for me. They’ve got all the textures nailed, down to the bread being crunchy but not too hard, and the stuff inside. The steak one is my favorite. They also have a garlic bread option for their sandwiches that you have to ask for which I haven’t seen at any other banh mi places. For boba, Seven Leaves is definitely the spot, their mung bean drink is something you can’t get anywhere else.
Love this!!! I've been to most of these places except the Vietnamese ones and the one in San Carlos. I went to school with the daughter of Falafel's Drive in and some of her family live a few blocks away from me. Marvel Cakes is just a few minutes away. If I knew you were going there I would have come by to say hi.
@@honeysuckle I have never been to Fancy Flavors. It is the newest of among many dessert places to go into that spot. I don't know why everything that goes in there ends up closing.
There's a few place in S Jose that specializes in fresh mochi. Please seek them out. I tried the iconic place in LA, and since then, I'll never go back to frozen, laden with preservatives.
Have ya tried the banh mi from Dinosaurs in SF/Pacifica? It’s currently my fav. On the pricier end, but sooooo good. Curious what your thoughts are in comparison, if you have!
Thank you for showing parts of the bay other than Oakland and San Francisco!! San Jose and Cupertino have some of the best food to offer in the bay in my opinion! Great video!!
Thank u!! I love the South Bay 😊😊
If there's anything I miss about the Bay Area, it's the FOOD! I think I even went to the first restaurant once. Good times.
I was just smiling throughout watching your video. I can just feel your happiness and excitement! My favorite is the part with you and your best friend. Made me tear up but smiling at the same time!
Aww thanks!! There is no one quite like a bestie. She’s irreplaceable 😊
Sweet little boy salivating and pleading "me too!"...my heart.
He had the biggest pancake right before we went here!! Don’t let him fool you lol… he will beg and plead anytime there’s sweets in front of him! 😆🥰
Sweet and cunning boy ❤
So glad you did this video! I'm from the Bay and have never tried most of these places. I'll have to check them out when I go back to visit soon. I’m also from the Bay Area and I’m 100000% with you on all of these places 😋
Yayyyyy!! Still love my old favorites!!! Where else should we go next time??
Love this video. It's natural and authentic. Love when your camera fell as you met your best friend 😊
Omg I need to watch more of your vids. I've been subscribed for a while and never knew you are from here. Thanks for introducing me to new places to discover.
Yay!! So happy you liked this video!! Another Bay Area video for tomorrow but will def be back soon! 💗

This was so fun to watch. I love Aqui’s. I have never gotten the swirl as I know it is strong. Your family and friends were everything.
I am from the Bay Area and appreciate this! However, I wish you recommended some places in the north Bay (Vallejo, Benicia, etc.) because that's where my family lives
Unfortunately, Solano County -- not exactly a food mecca. I live here, too.
This is my first time watching your content! Bay Area native here, feeling slightly less homesick watching you go to the best kept secrets (and some not so secret) around the bay. ❤
Aww yay! Have another one coming tomorrow 😊 I miss the bay
Thank you for the Bay Area food tour. For some reason I don't see much of this area represented on TH-cam.
You’re spot on with the Duc huong banh mi
This food tour video was so fun to watch! The food looks amazing! It was so sweet to see your mom ( she looks so sweet!! ) and your adorable kids! Thank you for sharing this!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Aww thank u!!
Thanks for the video and sharing your favorites. I rarely see the Bay Area represented. 😊
Vietnam Town is definitely EAST (not South) San Jose
Also, Duc Huong is not technically in "Vietnam Town." Vietnam Town is the name of the large plaza across the street. The area is called Little Saigon.
As a Bay Area local - this is spot on. LOVE Falafel drive-in and Aqui's!!
Yay!! Iconic spots 🔥
Oh, I love a food good food vlog in the Bay ❤ You should hit Iguana’s in San Jose next time!
The first minute into the video I’m already cheering for Duc Huong 😂
Yay!! It’s so good!!
Super fun to watch! Would love to see another video like this!

hope you shared the croissant with your boy i could tell his mouth was watering
i love that these spots are in san jose!! including duc huòng and vietnam town was the eye catcher for me!! definitely gotta try all the other spots!
It was so fun to recognize the areas you were in! I’ve been to that vietnamese area, and now I need to go back and try your reccs too! And all the others I’ve not been to 😂 lucky me I work in San Jose 💕
Yay!!! The tea shop and place we ate were solid!! Hope u like it!
Love your use of the word, plethora. One of my favorite words!
Omg, your son licking his lips was so adorable!
Yayayayayay!!! So stoked that you've come back to the Bay for a visit! Aquis is strictly for drinks and nothing else though imho! LOL.
LOL facts all the stuff has like the same seasoning hahaha
Hahaha so true! I do love the adobo chicken bowl tho. There’s so many toppings!
Thanks for sharing new spots ! I only go to Pho Ha Noi in little Saigon and now I can expand my palette 😊
Yessss for San Jose!! 🙌🏽🫶🏽💕
Hi, Thank you for showing us your top Bay Area foods, I live in the Bay Area my entire life, and I know most of these restaurants and cafes that you’ve mentioned are really good as well. I am also Vietnamese so those Vietnamese restaurants and cafes are one of my favorites
My fav as well. That is where I grew up. Moved out of the bay 3 years ago to Vegas and this is making miss home!
I used to live near the Falafel drive in and moved to Las Vegas many years ago. I miss it so much.
Awww I know the feeling. I couldn’t wait to go back!
There is a Yemani restaurant you have to go to, it’s in El Cerrito. So good, so cheap
The meat is called cha lua (not written with tone marks). It is godly good
Su's Mongolian BBQ in Santa Clara is really good and family friendly. I grew up near Falafel Drive in and it's yummy. Love to see Bay Area stuff!
Su’s Mongolian is iconic!! I remember going there growing up!! I miss the Bay 🥰
Would love it if you did an east Bay Area
Yay! Love from the Bay! ❤ Come to the Eastbay!!
welcome home, and you are right - Duc Huong is the best in CA! Hope you get to come further up 280 for more great finds. BTW, we've got a mutual friend from the Bay - Anne Marie P. (we grew up together :) ... love seeing both your foodie adventures!

Lees in Orange County is where they all started. I’ve had lees up and down CA always fire
Lee’s sandwich is not so much cheap eats anymore especially when she went to Duc Huong in the video.
I know these places.😂glad someone showing around the Bay Area.
Yaaay good tour,, that choc crossaint look heavenly 😋
It was sooo delicious! The chocolate filling was soo silky 😋😋
Duc Huong is the best. It has supplanted my previous favorite spot Ba Le in Oakland.
I trust the local sources~ everything looked so good, especially the falafel and the Viet food!
💕Love this!! Please more videos like this🙏 My husband and I want to travel around California and West Coast. Only been to LA so far. So fun seeing you with your family/friends enjoying the city. Your kiddos are soooo cute 🫶Take care.
Stay tuned!!
OMGGG YESSS i saw the spiral croissants in your thumbnail and was hoping you stopped by Marvel Cake!! They also have the best chocolate croissants!
The chocolate croissant is sooo good!!
Everyone goes to the falafel place, which is good, but Korean Palace right next to it doesn't get enough love
You’re in my hometown! I live in the South Bay and I’m so happy you represented some great eats from our hood! And I eat the Drive-in falafels at least twice a month, it’s so delicious.
yay!! the best!! i love it :)
If you're looking for a good breakfast, lunch, or brunch in the east bay Skillet'z Cafe in Niles ( Fremont ) is always good
Duc huong and falafel drive in!!!!
Great content here. Thafor sharing. Falafel Drive-in is a great place.
YES GIRL, the SWIRLS! ❤
Oh sooooo good 🍹
Next time your near daly city area you have to try bunni bahn mi, sooo good.
That falafel looks so amazing 😭 i need to get one asap ❤
How do you eat one meal after another and then another?
Haha I was verrrrryyy full that day
Thanks! I'm coming back to the bay in a bit and wanna see some hot spots to visit. I've been to the ban mi place, good choice ;)
i grew up watching you with my family i had no idea you were from my hometown LOL
I’m from the Bay Area, you should try Vien Houng in Oakland Chinatown. You gotta get #21 it’s the best. I highly recommended it.❤
Btw, that Mexican restaurant next to the Vietnamese sandwich shop also has good food.
I loved this video! I just found you and subscribed! Also what brand is your purse? It’s so cute!!
The moment I recognized the falafel drive in I could tell this video is trustable
You should do restaurants in the East Bay as well.
It’s so crazy seeing my cousin Kay in a TH-cam video haha
Awww yay!! We love Kay 🫶🏼🫶🏼
For a Banh Mi in SoCal, try Banh Mi My Tho in the SGV.
I’ve been there!! So good
Such a fun video! ✍️ I have no plans in place, but still taking notes!
Yay!! One day!!
Everything looks so good! Will have to try these spots 😄
Yay!!!
Nam Vang is actually Cambodia’s Phnom Penh!
Next time 😊😊
Good video. How does a person cover the Bay Area food scene in one episode??
Are Banh mis ever served hot? I feel like that cold cut combo you got would really taste good on lightly toasted bread and just sizzled-on-a-rush cold cuts, to bring out the flavors. Either way I'm going there next time in San Jose
I love this video I have family in San joae area and this food vlog gave me some list of places I need to visit when I go visit family!
Yay!!! Def some that you have to try like falafel. It’s iconic!
Have you tried Triple one in Mckee Rd.. ??? 2347 McKee Rd? I always see a line of people and I was wondering how it compares to your list of choices.
I have such a pistachio obsession. what I would GIVE for one of those croissants rn🤤😂
It’s sooo good! I love pistachio cream too!
Cool video and tasty looking food. Little Saigon is in East San Jose, not South San Jose.
Little Saigon in the OC got good bahn mi
Had their Banh Mi sandwiches many times. In the past, they were more meat in the sandwiches. Sad that they put less meat now. lol
Mint & Honey. Solid choice. 👍
Their toasts… I’m still dreaming of that meal haha
It’s a nice food tour San Jose
Would’ve been cool if you did different places in the bay, not just the South Bay. Like pick a place in North bay Vallejo maybe? Then East bay, Emeryville, Richmond, Berkeley etc, then a South Bay (you did those). then a west bay, Marin, SF, Sausalito.
lovin the bay area love 🙏
So many places, so little time!! I’ll be back soon!!
Those croissants though! Yum!
Sooo good

For boba, Seven Leaves is definitely the spot, their mung bean drink is something you can’t get anywhere else.
I lived right by Duc Huong / Little Saigon for a few years, both places are legit… one revision, Story Rd is in East SJ not South. ✌🏼
I haven't had good head cheese since my mom died. Neighbors always visited when she made it. I wonder if they smelled it.
Wow!! That’s awesome!! Nothing compares to that falafel 🥙 ! I heard fancy flavors is really good too down the street! Next time 😊
@@honeysuckle I have never been to Fancy Flavors. It is the newest of among many dessert places to go into that spot. I don't know why everything that goes in there ends up closing.
Nice tour.
Not sure anything here is cheap except the sandwiches. But will check out V Town, thanks.
Omg how was there no line at Duc Hong!!?
I got so lucky!! I feel like there’s alwaysssss a long line!
How bout a North Bay Area food tour😊😊😊😊😊😊
I’ll be back soon! Is that like SF or Sausalito area?
Aquis!? 😅 Don't know about that one being on the list
King Eggroll is a San Jose staple
There's a few place in S Jose that specializes in fresh mochi. Please seek them out. I tried the iconic place in LA, and since then, I'll never go back to frozen, laden with preservatives.
They don’t compare 💯
I work at Valley Fair and I've never had the banana shake 🤦♀️
You must!
She is so sweet! 🙂
I miss San Carlos.
What's the name of the cafe with the black sesame matcha? It looks tasty!
Mint & honey !!
Have ya tried the banh mi from Dinosaurs in SF/Pacifica? It’s currently my fav. On the pricier end, but sooooo good. Curious what your thoughts are in comparison, if you have!
I haven’t! I’ll have to put that on the list for next time 😊😊
