you know i love watching these scale model kits being put together. My husband is a veteran and to calm himself i would find him build military models in his home office. I love building Japanese anime kits but my husband is on another level. Interestingly enough my husband loves to draw comics too. Seeing this F-4 i think of a comic has put a lot of passion into and hopes people will read when he presents it on patreon. It’s his take on a Top Gun prequel about the main character’s father in the Vietnam Air War. Centered around the F-4,F-8,A-4,A-6,A-7,Mig-17,19 and 21. My husband grew up in a military family and pushed his idea of join the military after highschool.
You know your a true inspiration to me. I really enjoy watching you build. I been doing this hobby since I Was 9. I'm 59 now and your still taking me to school. Thanks for posting such great vids on your excellent abilities.

I thought it was going to be completely OOB till you started drilling holes! Lol! I have yet to do any real resin sets other than wheels. It turned out superb! As a side note though, I'm a USAF Veteran and was an aircraft mechanic. I can't say for the Navy, but we never left panels resting on the aircraft. Too easy to scratch the paint or cause other damage. We either had a panel rack nearby or set them on the ground. Peace and love.
Awesome bit of work. Don't think I'll go that far. I have an SWS Wings F-4E that I'm going to do as an RAAF Phantom. Just a paint job and decals really as the RAAF had these on lease while awaiting the F-111 so they came straight out of US inventory with just RAAF insignia on them.
Wow incredible attention to detail and patience! I’m new to modelling and want to build some planes or cars but I don’t have an airbrush, can you get paint that you can use a paintbrush with? Airbrushes are kinda expensive lol

Otherwise the people would constantly ask "What kind of tool is this?" "What is that paint?". It gets old fast. Most of the youtubers shows what they are using to avoid questions like that and be helpful to the community. However they are also legally required to mention its not a paid commercial.
That depends from your air pressure, your airbrush setup, how old your paint is and even freakin humidity in your room. There is no one magical number, experiment with it yourself, 2:1 or 3:1 (paint : thinner) are good starting points.

Don’t feel bad about wasting money on those resin wheels. I’d to have done that before but it was a lesson learned for me. A lot of these resin sets are just copies of the original mold that’s why before I pull my wallet out. I inspect it carefully to see whether it actually needs a resin set or not.
Only thing I don’t like about using chrome or high shine metallics, is having to do a deep clean of the airbrush straight after otherwise every colour you paint after has sparkles in it 🙄

Correct me if im wrong, but if i remember correctly they repaint this aircraft while on cruise thats why this specific a/c dont have that much stencil. Again correct me if im wrong, i read this story a few years ago 😬

Nice build as always, good job sir! Please don't advertise the use of spray cans though. They are very bad for the environment, most of the time overpriced and in my experience only marginally easier and faster to use than my airbrush, if at all.
Clipping of parts is a bit too dominant here. Obviously part of the building process, but no one has to watch it like 55 times to understand the concept of getting parts off the sprues.
I’ve been building plastic kits since the late 1950’s and I’ve never seen such fine detail like the cockpit of this Phantom. Beautiful!

I loved the hobby but it just got way to expensive and at the end all I had was a dust collectors. Now I enjoy it via other builders

I find that some construction techniques are questionable to the detriment of the accuracy of assembly and painting.
