Thanks for the second video on a horribly unoptimized week 1 standard brew of mine that I brought to an SCG Event! I'm sorry the deck didn't do as well for you as it did me. My buddy and I tuned it to reliably beat red aggro, which we were expecting a lot of. The deck definitely needs some tweaking given the rest of the meta, especially the sideboard. If you have any suggestions please let me know! - James S
I have been playing your deck (with a few changes) in B01 and it does reasonably well - probably thanks to your tweaks to make it better against aggro!
the black line that shows up on the left side of Jim's hand has been bugging the shit out of me for a week, just finally realized today its the shadow on the green screen for karns bed lol
In my humbly honest opinion, they should add karn as a pet specifically for your account , Jim. Also give you the nice avatar of your face you had a while ago.
49:12 Pact triggers before draw. Playing the second pact here means Jim would have 8 total damage and 8 lifegain on tap. He would survive Shelly attack + their pact at 1 then shoot Shelly for 8 total before draw step while going back up to 9. This buys time to play a Gambit, maybe draw some more cards with the second pact next turn. The game was not over yet.
I can't believe harmless offering is back in standard. Been out of the loop with magic for some years, it actually looks like a fun meta ATM, standard that is.
I made a deck very similar to this but run the three mana black instant that lets you kill enchantments and its a good way to deal six 23:51 could have won here by blowing up the gambit you gave them
Some idiot: Hey Mr Pro Magic player will you look at my "awesome" deck list. Pro Magic Player: Give me 10$ and I'll "look" at it. 😂 If I could afford it I'd just give you 10$ why even "waste" your time lol
@Snarkeroid Right, it's probably a "neat" experience, I've never had a pro evaluate a deck I brewed before but then again if it's a "custom" brew why the heck would you want to be sharing it unless you just want social validation or attention and if it's similar to a deck already existing why the heck are even suggesting someone needs to look at it?

It's a cool brew though! I like the innovations you made. Also cutting blue seems to make it alot more consistent

Karn is much more chilled out and mellow these days. I love how he is just floating there disembodied lol!
Brings me back! Some of my earliest competitive magic memories involve harmless + pact

Karn is getting a new green screen for his bed so that will be gone soon! 🐶
@JimDavisMTG that's so considerate of Karn
Played against James at that event. Very cool deck and good guy!

Maybe I’m losing my marbles, but your dog looks just like Minsc lmao
Totally agree that Shang-Chi was the best post endgame movie. Glad to see you share the same opinion.

Duress Duress would be a sweet band shirt.
Deadpool wolverine and spiderman are the universe beyond of marvel movies
Well said

$10 for a deck tech!? That actually doesn't seem to bad for some random crap you could get. Fix my caves deck, Jim!
I agree, Deadpool & Wolverine was a bad movie, but fun.
hot take: Disney vomitting out all of these comicbook movies, tv shows, and making their own universe has been the worst thing for movies ever.

it's a deck tech, so he evaluates it and suggests builds and stuff but yeah for sure
