I was there with my buddy in 2019 of November. We flew into Hanoi from the 🇺🇸. We went on to visit Ninh Binh, Ha Long Bay, Sa Pa, Da Nang, Hue, and Hoi An. I really miss Vietnam. Of all the places we visited, Ninh Binh was my favorite. Will definitely be back when the pandemic is over.

Thank you in advance! Can I ask you if you had any rain in November and was it warm enough to sit on the beach and swim?
It did rain some days when I was I there, but in certain parts of Vietnam. In Hanoi, it did not rain at all when I was there for 3 days. Ninh Binh, on and off light rain for 1 day and I was only there for 2 days. In Ha Long Bay, it did not rain and I was there for 2 days. Sa Pa, it rained 2 of the 3 days I was there. Da Nang, 2 days there and no rain. Hue, 1 day and it was pouring. Hoi An, it did not rain and was there for 1 day.
I went to Vietnam to find a wife. What a beautiful country, I've been there twice now and married an incredible Vietnamese woman.

It was good to see your comment. It gave me encouragement because my intention is to move to Vietnam permanently as a British retiree as soon as possible (i.e. post-covid), but of course I will need to make exploratory tours first as I have not visited before. At the moment my sights are set on Da Lat, partly for the climate and partly because it seems to suit my quiet lifestyle! I am busy checking out interesting TH-cam channels detailing life in Vietnam.

This is one of the best documentaries of Vietnam sites that i can find in TH-cam with great and clear video, audio and caption from natural to cultural sites as well as local activities and customs. Wish it would showcase the beautiful central coastal beaches of Vietnam e.g. Da Nang and include the other two natural UNESCO sites of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and Trang An Landscape, beside Ha Long Bay.

Don't wanna talk about war history all the time, because there's so much more, but survives like 50+ years of conflict (from multiple imperial powers) that they didn't ask for, and wins. Clearly one of the strongest countries in the world, despite what my OCD might tell you.
