This is a gastric swallow pill. As you can see this particular pill is like a capsule it's a vegan capsule which has a balloon folded inside it. It is softer than the usual capsules we take as medicines and even softer than a large tablet which we take like multivitamins or an antibiotic. This needs to be swallowed and once it is swallowed a very thin catheter is attached to this particular pill.
By the marking on this catheter one can understand that the pill is inside the stomach once the patient would swallow this capsule and the pill is inside the stomach we would fill this particular capsule with 550 ml of proprietary fluid and this capsule which is so soft gets converted into a balloon. So this is the balloon in which this particular swallow pill is converted and the filling goes on through this particular very thin and soft catheter. So a thin and a soft catheter with the swallow pill and this is what you get in eight minutes of outpatient procedure again no endoscopy no surgery no anaesthesia. You can come inside the hospital and go out in 15 minutes at max and this spill gets converted into this intragastric balloon
This balloon remains inside the stomach for around four to six months, after which as you can see here there is an exit wall guarded by a suture and once this suture decays or perishes after a period of four to six months the balloon gets deflated the proprietary fluid inside the balloon comes out and the capsule is passed into the motion.
So the beauty is that there is no endoscopy surgery or anaesthesia to put in this device at the same time there is no endoscopy surgery or anaesthesia to remove this device
