Today on The Skid Factory, Woody joins his mates Dave and Dunning-Kruger Az at Willowbank Raceway for some 1/8 mile drag racing.
There's also epic footage of some of the fastest cars in the country Including the Castle Hill Performance built VT Commodore driven by Dale Heiler and Kyle Hopf's 6Boost Camaro being pedalled by Terry Seng.

@@twistedthrottle8513 I don't disagree. But every drag race does the first 1/8th mile. Some just shut down after that, some keep going for another! But once you get to the 1/8th, it's about who has deeper pockets. It's all hp after that. Launch/tune/setup is the first half, more skill based.

@Gus Johnson A 4.0xx on the 1/8th is equal to very low 7's or high 6's on the 1/4, one very fast car!

@@Sawsquatch for street chassis it is quite fast xD remember its not top fuel.... they may have big v8's and a shitton of nitrous and boost, but its not a ridicolous compression nitro car that weighs 1000kg with 1500hp pushing it xD a top fuel dragster does like 3.6-4s passes. so a 6-7s in a street chassis is damn good :p

Yeah I’ve been hounding them about it. I don’t know why I feel so strongly against it. I just feel like it’s early days and they should change it. The obviously haven’t replied. And it’s a very different idea. But cars none the less.
It's similar only in the fact that it's a factory. Straight lines and smoke stacks. Other then being a different shape buildings and different amounts of stacks in what ways do you think they should be distinguished? I get it that at some level they are similar, but so is a Ford Taurus and a Bugatti Chiron at some level.
@@douganderson7002 I dont see many content creators buying race tracks, or modifying Geo trackers to drive through ponds. Or do you have some examples that can't just as easily be claimed by someone to be a copy of something already done in the past? No real need to wait for a response as everything done is a copy of something done in the past in some way. "Other people have swapped engines in the past, therefore no engine swap is an original work".

I hate to admit this. But, for a moment there. I thought that Holden Comador had a mustang front clip. In my defense, I live in the US where the Comador is called a Pontiac G8 and for whatever reason they didn't sell many of them here. Please forgive me my Aussie friends.

Use stage 3 process west intercooler and bigger throttle body and use some wd40 in boost solenoid, two hoses fill. before race

There is a table to convert it, its a very high 9, something like a 9.80-9.90 or something.

I know most of them are track cars, but how do you pass tech with no transmission tunnel?
I think the transmission Case has all the strength built into it and they are certified, it still looks sketchy as
A reid case is about 3/4 of an inches thick, a piece of sheet metal isn't going to do anything if the case doesn't stop it
There are specific drag racing transmission cases that are rated so that you don't need to run a scatter shield or tunnel. If it was a normal factory casing then you are right, it would not pass tech unless it had a scatter shield (unless its just a slow car which is close to stock).

I know V8’s are awesome, but it’s just hard for a rotang fan to see an RX 3, the best looking RX ever made in my humble opinion, with a V8 in it, I know Doritos just end up making people cry cause they just don’t hold together like a piston engine,
RX3 had a 13BT, then a 20BT, the a TT LS race engine, then a BBC TT race engine. Rotaries are cool but they are hard to get them to perform anywhere near as well as even the LS turbo engine let alone a BBC let alone last a season of racing.

@@bobroberts2371 but a sm600 is different to the said car a Honda s600, could also get a n600 and I think a l600 and not to mention the 800's. Long story short the car mentioned is a Honda s600 with a 2jz and big fk of turbo pushing about 1000hp

The VK looks like A european Opel Senator
Yes! This body style of commodore came out in i think 78 or 79 originally? It was based on a combination of opel rekord and senator styling but underneath the chassis ended up quite different since it was designed for australian conditions (rough outback roads) and i6 and v8 engines. The original model of this body type is the VB commodore, then it went to VC then VH then VK which you see here. The final version of this body style was the VL which had quite a differently styled front end and is famous for being fitted with the nissan RB30 engine.
@@jeffsymons7084 the biggest engine we could get was the 2.8 inline 6. But the enthuiast always wanted the Australian version with the V8 but they never gave it to us.
