  • Had a bunch of people come in at once just after I started my shift! Haven't worked at this cafe in a few month so it wasn't as smooth as I would have liked but hopefully you guys enjoy!

      That’s because he wastes time measuring the weight of coffee for consistency…
      then he proceeds to eye ball the amount of milk and its temperature which cancels out consistency
      He’s doing it to himself

      @@him333-i4pit’s not entirely eyeballing considering when making a milk drink the jug you use should be filled right below the spout line. So he probably has a good understanding of how much milk he needs to pour. Looks like most of the stress came from not having the cups he needed.

      But yet eye balls below the spout?
      His methods don’t make sense.. they just make cool looking aesthetics.

      @@him333-i4p I’m just gonna assume you don’t know a whole lot about the methods of making espresso. The shop has probably already dialed in the coffee and the reasoning for weighing the coffee grounds is so that the shot doesn’t come out too bitter or too sour. It’s also so that he doesn’t overfill or underfill the portafilter. These milk jugs tend to have a line in them that you can see that’ll indicate how much milk you should be pouring. I’m sure he’s done this so many times it’s practically become muscle memory.

    this is not a busy rush, your chilling, where i work (gails bakery), my order screen is never empty, order after order, back to back, for hours and hours, at least until noon anyway, the standard where i work is every coffee should be made and given to the customer within 2 minutes, grind and tamp=10secs, double shot=27seconds, milk for flat white=30secs, i genuinely consider that quiet or maybe i'm just mad, and your working like you have all the time in the world idk if its just me, not hating thats just really not busy to me, you did a great job, i'm sure the quality is amazing
