If you will make a beautiful case like mars lander and put some color led on the fan you will increase the number of sales. People want to put on the desk for lottery mining mostly. I will definitely order some soon after i received my orders i have done so far! Greetings from Thailand !
Yeah that’s my thought I was going to have it sitting on my desk as a “Lotto” machine to 🤞 hopefully win someday… 😅

Probably a dumb question, but if I do get lucky and mine a block, where does the bitcoin go? Do I need to connect it to a wallet somehow?
Yeah, when you're setting it up. You will add the wallet address you would like rewards to go to.
@@MasterPinglo Where in the settings do you do that? is it the stratum user part?
@@chinsanity9313 I believe it is when you sign up to a Mining pool or solo you will then get the stratum address that links your btc add

For someone who has not used a miner, it would be good if you explained where you got the stratum url, port and user information. I assume it was from a mining pool. An example from a mining pool would have been nice.

It would be nice to have one main module, and then be able to buy several more and be able to add them to a 3-D printed box for a total of five with fans on either side and LEDs for a reasonable cost. It would save the manufacture from having to add the Wi-Fi chip and some other components for those add-ons. Kind of fun and DIY idea. Any thoughts out there?

Just bought one, and based on the comments... We're still early.
Currently, you will make $1 a month profit with each one of these at $0.11 per kwH. So it will take you 250 months (over 20 years) before you START to pay off machine and make profit - and it's still just $1 a month.
It's for solo mining

Calculating the hash power even with a fairly cheap electric rate this doesn't seem profitable for pool mining. Am i missing something?

In the settings, what does the “frequency” mean? Is it how many gigahertz the chip is running at?

@@HowMuchBitcoin thanks for the timely response, but I’ve probably burnt something out on the chip since I’ve made $8 over the last 7 months. If users shouldn’t play with those settings, you should have documentation somewhere of what those settings do and any additional hardware needed to not destroy your miner
Will the firmware update automatically or should that be done manually when new firmware is available? And where is that firmware?

just got mine but it gets stuck in an infinite loop connecting to my wifi. wifi router sees if. I even found the IP address from the wifi router. I entered the address on my mac and a dark blue page with nothing else.
Same Not able to connect to the wifi. I have tried 3 different wifi routers and nothing..... Extremly disappointing
what did you end up doing
I had the same problem and found that I had no idea what to put in the port setting, so left it at default. This was incorrect and it wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi and just got stuck on the “connecting to (your wifi name” screen. After I got it to reset and guessed that the port number was actually included in the pool address, I removed it from the web address, along with the colon before the number l, and just put that number in the port spot. Now it works. Also, to get out of that connecting to Wi-Fi loop after making this mistake in the beginning, I had to turn off the router and leave the Bitaxe running, and it finally allowed me to start over and fix the mistake. You probably already figured this out by now, but if not, I hoped this helped. The directions are non-existent.

Is it normal for the uptime to reset after a certain about of time? I just got mine up and running today and the longest uptime so far has been 2 hours before it reset. I haven’t updated the firmware yet either, and it’s still at v 2.0.0, so maybe that’s why? At the moment I have it set to frequency 550mhz, and voltage set to 1250mV and it’s running at 39c temp and a hash rate of around 500-530 Gh/s.
Any update to this I am on the fense to getting the Mars Lander vs bitaxe
@@howtoinvest4yourself241 I have seen the Bitaxe remain connected for 2 days max so far according to the actually dashboard for the Bitaxe. But it seems it just reconnects itself, so no big deal I guess. I think the only issue would be if it missed finding a block during the short downtime, which from what I've read, your odds of hitting a block with it (lottery) are like 1:7,000,000. So I imagine the odds of missing a block during short times when it disconnects and reconnects, are much higher. You CAN switch it from solo mining to pool mining, but the earning as so tiny, it's not worth it. It was a gift to us from my brother in law, I'm not sure I would spend $200 on this. I will admit though, it's interesting, and the odds of winning are greater than winning the actual lottery. Also, unlike the lottery, it is like buying a ticket for a drawing every 10 minutes, instead of once or twice a week. So why not?

Hello, my device does not connect to Wi-Fi, how can I reset the settings, please tell me
Is it stuck on the screen that just keeps saying “connecting to (the name of your Wi-Fi network)”? If so, turn off your router and after 5x of failing to connect to your Wi-Fi, it will allow you to access the setup again. So shut off router, leave the Bitaxe running and the “connecting to Wi-Fi” stops flashing. Turn your router back on, and on your computer or phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and choose the Bitaxe network again, and it will take you back to the set up screen. I’m completely new to this whole thing and it took me a bit to figure it out, but I believe I finally got it. One issue I was having issues that I didn’t know what port to enter for ViaBTC mining pool. I finally guessed and figured out the second part of the address, after the colon, was the port number. So I had to remove the prefix that said TPC in it and also remove the colon and number after it. I then put that number in the port spot. The Stratton user name is given to you on the pool site when you create your account. I then also had to change a few other things. Like by default it was set to pool, which this device isn’t really for. I switched it to solo mining, because I purposely chose a pool that has solo mining. Also, it mentioned on the pool site to set it to smart mining, so I did that also. I raised the frequency and wattage a tiny bit and got it to go over 500gh/s steadily and the temp remains around 37-39c (about 100f.). Now, let me be clear…I have no idea what any of this means.😂 This was a gift from my brother in law, and it was explained to me that it’s like a lottery. It runs 24h/day, and every 10 minutes it searches for a “block”. The odds of it finding a block is 1:7,000,000 a day? Or maybe that’s every 10 minutes? Still better than your odds of winning the Powerball lottery which is like 1:296,000,000 and only once a week vs. every 10 minutes. If it DOES find a block, in solo mining, you would win 6.25 BTC, valued today at about $44,000 each. Then there is something about “halfing” just to make it more confusing.
My wifi name had a space at the end of it. Confirm if yours does too. That solved my problem when I added the space at the end.
