There is no better feeling than that first fire of an engine!!! Nicely done, brother. Big fan of your work, Matt. I remember rebuilding the carb on my Z50 with my son from your video years ago.
Ive been into jdm cars for 20 years. Im ready for a Corvette now, I decided this week 😂. Cant wait to sell my subaru and start the next project. Gonna do a stroker with texas speed cam and setup for super simple manifold port nitrous system. I always wanted a n20 button❤
Man I am so glad I found your channel! I am rebuilding a 6.0 LS on my channel now. How did you find your machine shop that polished and cleaned the crank?
Hey buddy, can you tell me the details on the accessories setup, engine mounts etc. In order to fit the engine in your car? I have a 70' that I'm putting a 6.0 in is why I'm asking. Thanks in advance!
I would love to do a LS swap in my 68 chevelle and get rid of the 396 it's not a number matching car. when doing the swap would you need a computer or wiring harness for the motor?
Great job! Curious since it had been a couple years, how has motor perfored? Anything you wish would have done differently? Just bought my first 5.3 and getting ready to do same buildby watching you channel! Thanks in advance!
Runs great and now about 450-500hp with 10# of boost. I wish I went with a higher volume/pressure oil pump than the one I selected for my application. Only regret so far.
hey man! what did you use when you sanded your top end flat surface? and what grit sand paper did you use thank you for the video! this literally all i need for the build i want!
Top notch video! What was the piece of equipment that looked like a sand blaster? Seemed to be some sort of high pressure water sprayer but I want to know for sure
The difference is - first LS for sedans and L for trucks like LY6 and ls2 ,L77 for caprice both are 6.0 both rectangular port head -second the block material always specially in gen 3 LS the truck version is an iron block and sedan version is aluminum block -the last difference is intake the truck are longer and bigger and that’s it 😂😂😂
If you look up parts for it, they are all called Gen 3, 4.....etc. Looks like you have about 300,000 emails top send out to tell everyone they'e wrong.

Love your videos,I used them alot through the restoration of my 94 kx 250,now I'm doing a 4.8 LS for a jeep, nice work
Awesome thank you!

The LS engine is the GM's best creation!
Best regards from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico 🤝🏼🤠
I put a 5.3 with 180k in a c10. Elgin 1840p cam, pac1218 springs, and a billet 78/75. This has been its fourth year on 10psi. Fun rides
@@Genx4 I have the same combo except cast wheel. I'm at 10psi also on E. Looking to increase that soon. Yeah it's fun!
faster than any top fuel crew !!! great job matt!! you enjoying it after all the speed bumps in a build of this kind..!!
Need to bumble bee your knowledge man!

@@Yankee1776done yet?
Love it!
I wondering if I should do this in my 70 nova, I have a cammed 454 in there at the moment. But wanted to go more modern as I want to daily it
where do you get that tool to do the cylinders?
Nice work!
I have question now when I install timing chain should I let the piston 1 at TDC or just met 2 dot like what I saw in this video
How heavy is the top engine cover to get to the pistons? Can you replace the piston rings with the engine on the car? Thank you for a great film.
You need to pull the engine to replace the piston rings
Curious on why you didn’t replace the rocker arms or at least the bearings in them
What did I get myself into?? The last engine I built was an 86' AMC 360, 25 years ago. It still runs today. Why did I take this on???
Awesome video. I need the slow mode though!
I have those on my channel
Was there a specific feeler gauge you had to use to center the oil pump or did you just use whatever fit nicely?
3 same size that fit nicely
What type of setup of wet stone or dry stone u used to clean the surface of the engine block pal?

What year LS engine did you you use , c clip on pistons
2005. Gen 3 with gen 4 rods/pistons. Best of both worlds.
What kind of blaster for the pistons?

Do you have videos with more details specific etc? I have a LS 5.3 and I’d like to rebuild it.
Yes on my channel
@@HTMR Thank you, I'm going to see them all and wish me luck and one more thing, where do you buy the kit to rebuild whats the best brand?
My favorite is the LM7👍🏻🇺🇸
Nice work. Why not replace the pistons?
They were in good shape and usually don't fail.
What about the anti-wear coating on the pistons? Is it not needed?
Not sure, but it has been running great for 2yrs.

Stock truck acc, holley fwd engine mounts, holley 302-3 oil pan. Fits perfect.
What kind of transmission are you putting on there I saw you pull the older one??
