3:28 Couldn't agree with this take more. I'm not a big fan of DSBM because of how generally slow and sad everything is, but projects that use a more angry approach (Left alone, Bethlehem, Leviathan...) are incredible.
DSBM or not, trolling or not idk i find this vid useful to expand at leat my taste in music (not a metalhead but it's been a coping mechanism or some catharsis since I was like 12 thanks to my dad listening to Pantera.) and recently I've been a lot into getting a bit deeper in this hellhole/j

This one was hard to write tho bc i used recommendations from my subscribers and I still missed a lot of important mfs. You should check out my other posers guided if you’re interested in the black metal genre!!!
you should do a top 50 or like a posers guide to underground black metal or something, sick series though man, you're on your way to having a consistent channel.

decalius is bad, leviathan is not even dsbm, you forgot to add plenty of good dsbm bands such as nyktalgia, totalselfhatred, intig, none, make a change
Dsbm is mostly soooo fucking bad. Like i cannot imagine a scenario when im listening to music that would make me suicidal. I know this style is supposed to convey deep emotions, just as black metal itself. My disliking of DSBM doesn't come from ignorance, but from a complete lack of interest in the genre
I dont blame you though, as a hell of a BM guy I find myself getting hella picky about dsbm in specific. Its more just the sound itself for me, I’m just not into the more airy sounding guitars that are commonly heard with this genre. That and the vocals as I already joked. But the rare bands to do like, I like them hella.
