@@ridetofood I think so too. Last year, I did route 66 broken up over three separate weeks. Ridden down the whole East coast, ridden down half of the West Coast, plenty of circles in the middle. I think the Great River road would be a pretty cool time.

In this series, I really enjoyed everything I found along the Great River Road. It might have not been the most “scenic” roadway but it had a lot to offer! I think the Ozarks are still my favorite area of Arkansas, though!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Arkansas series. I just retired and I’m anxious to get my 2008 Ultra Classic back out and check out some of these places. I need to brush up my riding skills some, since I know they are rusty. It looks like you handle your bike very well. Have you done any formal rider skills training? I’m just curious. I wouldn’t mind doing it myself just to make sure I don’t start any bad habits and reacquaint myself with handling the bike again more efficiently.
I’ve done advanced rider training but it’s been about 4-5 years since i took a class! They’re definitely worth it and help with brushing up on/improving skills. Would recommend!
I GOT TO SAY THAT A LOT OF RESTAURANTS AND HOTELS ARE NOT WELCOMING TO HISPANIC OR BLACK RIDERS ,SOME ROUTES ARE JUST FOR ANYONE IF TOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN
I live on the great river road... Hwy 61.... Food is the only thing in the Delta to enjoy. I have lived in the Arkansas Delta my entire life.... Farmers block off the levee, so no access to the river. Bill Gates owns more farm land in Arkansas than any other person in the state...think about that 🤔... Everything is posted. Not enough public hunting land to access Arkansas resources. There is literally nothing in the Delta except farm land .. cotton, corn, soybeans, Milo, and rice...and few peanut fields. There are very few state parks in the Delta, nothing for rural area kids to do.... Cancer is a silent killer in the Delta due to the chemicals that the crop dusters spray on residential areas while spraying the fields, chemicals we breath in as it evaporates into the air around us from the farmers spray. I have lived on this flat land for years, there is not very many access points to get to the river. We took a public gravel road to the river and the farmer ran us off while we were trying to fish to catch supper for our family during hard times. The Delta is run by the 'cotton cult'... If your not a farmer then you don't matter around these parts.... There is literally nothing to do in the Delta... And that's why I plan to move as soon as Biden is done screwing the country and we get a real president that understands the American economy comes first and foremost.
