That first cup of coffee in the morning in the woods is the best. Many years ago when I was a teenager my Dad and two uncles went on a camping fishing trip. We were up at daylight to go fishing. My Uncle went to make coffee using the old drip coffee maker when he realized he had forgotten the filters. Without hesitation he took one of his socks and used it as a filter. I didn't ask if it was clean or dirty but that was the best cup of coffee I ever drank.
As always, what a great job. My wife and I await each of your videos and watch them all. Sweetie, you do such a great job as an orator and narrator. It's a goood thing you aren't a 'Used Car Saleperson' LOL. Heck, I'd buy a junk heap from you and pay top dollar. LOL That sweet little smile would get em every time!!! Your filmography skills are amazing. I wish I had a fraction of that ability, my boring old videos on my channel wouldn't be so dull. Keep up the good work, sweetie. Next time you're down near the Smokies, I'd still love to cook you up a gourmet campsite meal. Stay safe out there.
Just a little south of Turkey run SP, is the 36 saloon a fantastic biker restaurant. And a little east on 36, in the town of Danville is the Mayberry cafe, a great family restaurant. Thanks for visiting Indiana.
Staci, the wife and I are seniors, we dont ride anymore but we really enjoy your videos, they are very well done, we especially like the camping videos, keep up the good work, ride safe.
I agree with the etiquette never bring a guitar or radio to a camp. For humid camping, try something like Prana stretch pants instead of jeans. They dont hold moisture as bad.
The riced cauliflower is a very good choice while camping. Sooo easy and picks up the seasonings well. Sorry about the bugs 🐛. Thanks for bringing us anyway 🏍.
We have camped at Turkey run and the trails and campgrounds are fabulous. We are from Ohio, I would recommend Hocking Hills state park. Very similar to Turkey Run. Thanks for sharing!!
Just watched your Oklahoma video, which is where I live today and I grew up about 7 miles from Turkey Run State Park. What a reminiscence! Great content! If you go through Indiana again, head east down 234 from 41 to Shades State Park then hit 36 and head South to Danville to the Mayberry Cafe for dinner
I appreciate your sacrifice of camping in crappy weather to showcase some cool gear. Between the heat and humidity, summer is easily my least favorite season. I didn't know you had a fancy website; I look forward to checking it out.
Thanks Staci girl. Another couple of great camp recipes and good job on the gear reviews. The hike was beautiful. I agree with you, humidity and bugs suck as a combo. Keep safe.
I’m new to your site. I started watching last night and I’m very impressed. I really enjoy watching your journey. Thank you for showing us all your cookware. Until your next video take care and be safe
An open field with no privacy pretty much sums up the British camping experience, so watching this, with you sitting in the dappled sun, with plenty of space always makes me feel more than a little bit jealous. I still can't work out how you pack it all away, I'm sure I take less but end up with bigger bags, stuffed full. Maybe I take too many clothes?
@@ridetofood that'll be interesting. Years ago I went backpacking round Oceania with a female friend. I couldn't work out how it was I had an 80 litre backpack and hers was only 60 litres when she clearly had more clothes than me. So we made two piles and at that point I realised almost every piece of clothing she had with her had less volume, was made of thinner material and folded to half the size. And I'm sticking to that to explain why I've got such huge bags strapped to my bike compared to yours.
Great trip, great review; I love my StS stuff. I actually just ordered the StS Ether Light XT Insulated pad a couple days ago. Cool park, too! Thanks Staci!
Once again love the video and how you effortlessly blend brutal honesty and humour while still having fun. 😄 I see others are waiting for more Pan America videos, now that HTW has one maybe you can borrow it. 😎 Keep up the awesome work. I don’t know how you manage to travel, film, edit and still make the occasional guest appearance while running a business. But we are all glad you do. 😎
Hahaha, Jess and I are great friends, but I don’t anticipate asking to borrow her brand new bike for any amount of time anytime soon. Fingers crossed I own my very own PanAm sooner rather than later! 😊
Great video & review of all your camping gear. Looking forward to trying out some of your recipes, I may tweak them a little bit because I like to do that with new recipes. Had to rewind the video a bit because the birds in the background distracted me 😂 And Yes, you can’t always find a quiet spot unless you go deep into the bush, then the bugs will get you 😮 Thanks Staci, have a fun & safe Trail Blazing ride with the ladies!🤙
Great video thank you very well done. Saw you at the Hawksnest. Upstate New York has a lot more than 2 miles of Great roads .thanks again cheers to ya.
I'm about 120 miles away in northwest Indiana been there a few times. Shades St Park kinda cool also. Just got back from RedBud Pro National Motocross weekend in Michigan 70 miles away then the last National of year is in Crawfordsville Indiana
Thank you so much for keeping it real! I'm really liking that 8 inch cooking pack and I really like that cooler bag that you held ice in... about how long will it keep things cold? Thank you! I love watching your real adventures so much!
new gear! i once saw this ad where a tent would lean on your bike and keep you off of the ground..must have been just an idea because i've never found it.
If you haven’t been you should check out Story Indiana, south of Nashville on route 135. Turkey Run is about 25 minutes from my house and yes the bugs are ridiculous this time of year
If you ever get to southern Indiana try Tipsaw or Salina at Hoosier National Forest. They are very close to each other. I love their camping spots. They are really secluded.
Love this video thx for the suggestion this is near me ! If you get a chance ride up to starved rock state Park in olgesby Illinois there's a Harley bike post and pub with music right before you get there 😊 😎
Love your content! I am curious what cooler bag/cooler setup you use and how well you like it. I have done 1 moto camping weekend and that was something I think I need vs buying a foam throw away when I get there. TIA
I have a few different coolers but the one I use the most is from Igloo and is called the "packable puffer." they used to sell them at REI but haven't for a few years. Ice Mules are also really popular amongst motorcyclists. I own one and like it! It just doesnt pack down as small as the puffer, so I tend to go with that. If you need something more durable that can survive on the back of a motorcycle for long periods of time, the Ice Mule is a much better choice than the Puffer bag. I only strap the Puffer to the bike when im close to camp and have stopped to grab a few things.
I love your videos 📹. I take notes of the places you visit so I can check them out on my own. I have a question for you. Do you pack up your campsite when you leave to see the sights or leave your tent up while you are gone. I usually leave my tent and stuff and bring my valuables with me. What's your take?😊
@ridetofood do you leave your tent up or or do you take it down? When I was in the Boys Scouts, we left them up. I'm asking because times have changed 😕.
The food looked amazing. I've done a decent amount of cooking off the bike, but I'm considering making my own dehydrated food at home to carry with me. What are your thoughts on dehydrated food?
@@ridetofoodDo you a video on preparing dehydrated food and/or any favorite equipment or recipes? I do a lot of long distance riding and having a good quick meal is important.

Always look forward to the great videos and then you go and show up in Indiana and highlight one of my favorite State Parks. 😁
