This is the most over the top ridiculous shit I have ever seen, geniunly bursted out laughing at the news flash of "HOLY SHIT Japan launches nuclear powered space battleship", loved every minute of the video Also loved your voice overs, brought more soul to the video :)
I've never personally seen it, but I love the design of Space Battleship Yamato. Never watched anime before, but I might have to give SBY 2199 a go some day.
the residents within driving distance of the launch are probably like "oh boy, another comically sized rocket launch..." also, really enjoy the cinematic

I mean.. what else than a space Musashi? (Or a Yamato to that regard) Lovely how you can make some obscenely large things, all in RSS-RO, what can still fly somewhat, even with kraken attacks. Good work, as always!
Very creative and great attention to details! Man, ksp is awesome. Maybe some time down the road I'll be able to make bigger crafts like these battle ships myself but for now I am addicted to smaller fighters and crafts. Really great ships you made man.

Excellent Visuals, storytelling and music. The only criticism would be a lack of voice actors but I loved it all the same. Glad your CPU didn't explode in the battle.
Thanks! Yeah, true. Voiceovers is something I rarely do on this channel, so I wanted to try out doing the whole thing myself and seeing how it went from there.
@TD Channel You could've included some AI voices too. I think the only thing missing was some kver the top 90's anime Japaneese voices lmao. Buy in all this was truly one of the most impressive KSP videos I've seen in years. You've earned a sub.
I like how the US Space Navy has upgraded from the Viper Mk I from part 1 to the Viper Mk II with this iteration! Fun little detail. I'm excited for part 3!?!?!?!?!?
Of all the things that got me to laugh in this video, it was first when the Battlestar Galatica Vipers landed on the Iowa, and then when the damn Silver Hawks from the Darius franchise that got launched from Musashi.
Heh. You're right on the Vipers, and while the Musashi fighters do bear some resemblance, they're actually based on the Type-0 Cosmo Zero fighters from the (appropriately) Space Battleship Yamato anime.
@@TDChannelKSP it wouldn't surprise me if Taito took inspiration from Space Battleship Yamato when they came up with the design for the Silver Hawk for Darius. Never personally watched the anime, but I used to play the Darius games a lot.
Yup! However, this is not a normal Iowa class - it was built hollow out of procedural parts and wings, so they only weigh about 3000t (Iowa) and 7000t (Musashi). Real Iowa weighs around 52,000 tons, which would be a much larger launcher, though still smaller than Apollo^2, since that was 70,000t to orbit.
If the any of the Iowa-Class or other American WWII Battleships that used the 16” main guns would been able to hit far harder and faster than the Musashi or the Yamato if they had ever been in a direct naval battle in the Pacific Ocean

Well, now it's literally the SpaceShip xD
Great video, as always! Although the recoil from those guns firing might blow them away from each other :p
Thanks! Haha, you're probably right - I suppose the RCS could help in controlling that.
@@TDChannelKSP yeah, BTW how strong were the RCS on those monsters? Each nozzle producing thrust of F-1? :D
